My vita has been a go to game for me and my battery was bad so this battery brought it all back for me now I’m gaming like when I got it new good battery does what it says

I bought this because I felt that my original battery had lost some of its capacity. My Vita is a launch unit so the battery is around 8 years old. After opening the unit and looking at the batter, it still looked great-no swelling or anything (this surprised me because I've gone through multiple Sony-brand batteries for my PSP that ended up swollen and dead). Seems like a decent quality battery, worth the money.As long as you have a basic set of small screwdrivers, along with a plastic pry tool (or guitar pick), and a sprudger, you shouldn’t have much trouble doing this replacement if you’ve never done anything like this. Honestly, if you’ve replaced a battery in a phone, this is easier and less delicate.Take your time and don’t force anything. iFixIt has a good write up for beginners.

Switched it out for my old battery, works like a charm. Stopped getting the low battery signal when the Vita said I had 60% battery. Very happy, works great. Doesn't have the best battery life, but its possible that just the type of battery that came in the Vita. I'm sure back then the batteries didn't have the life that batteries do now. I'm still VERY happy with it. Instalation was a breeze.

Bought the battery to replace it on the original "fat" Vita. Original battery didn't hold more than 45 mins and reporting wrong battery levels (after having the Vita for about 5+ years). It fits and so far I have been getting least 3 hours of play time and more than 2 days on stand by. Will try and buy some more now for future replacements before I cant find anymore at reasonable prices. Hopefully the one in the Vita right now lasts for at least 2 years of casual usage. 4 stars for unknown life span.

Upon receiving the battery I saw that there was a sticker on it saying it was made in 2018 by ZTHY. However after removing the sticker it turns out that the battery I received was actually a Sony battery made in 2012. After doing some research it turns out that no third party batteries exist for the Vita and that all the third party sellers on Amazon are just reselling the original Sony batteries with labels covering up Sony's label.The good news is that you don't have to worry about a poorly designed third party battery damaging your Vita, the bad news is that these batteries are old and could have come from anywhere. Hopefully they are from leftover stock directly from Sony after they decided to stop selling them but more than likely they are from broken used Vitas. Replacing the battery in my Vita which I have used since 2012 with one of these resulted in about 5% more battery life after running tests and to my estimation it should have increased by about 30%. If that's due to it being manufactured in 2012 or being used before is unknown to me but either way it's not good.Regardless if you want to have your Vita for a long while you should probably stock up on these since once they're out it will be up to a third party to actually design and sell their own batteries as a replacement. The Vita won't turn on with a dead battery or without a battery even when plugged in.

Took me like 10 minutes to replace the battery. It is not that hard, as long as you are delicate with the connectors.So far it is working fine; the first few cycles are off, but then the battery start to work as expected. Playing Vita games I get about 6 hours out of it, with headphones and low intensity screen brightness; while with PSP and indie games I can get up to 10 hours.If you crank up the brightness, then you get in the 3-5 hours realm, depending on the game. Either way, it is OK for me, since I never use my Vita for more than 3 hours or so. Much better now, compared to the original battery that would barely last few hours.

I bought three other batteries before buying one of these, two sony and one other third party brand. All of them worked but none would hold a charge well and all of them were really old being manufactured in 2012. The battery I received was manufactured in May of 2018 which is fantastic and its holds a charge as well or better than the original. If you need a new battery for your oled vita in 2019, this is the one to get.

I needed to replace my PS Vita battery after a year of battery problems (constant switching between low battery and actual charge) until my PS Vita battery died for good. I bought the battery and followed a YouTube tutorial to replace it which was very simple. The first battery didn't work, but the seller was awesome. The seller made sure I got my item and when I mentioned it didn't work, the seller offered a new one at no cost which worked perfectly. A great simple and cheap battery to save a PS Vita.
