These shocks are certainly great value for the money. It's just upsetting when you open the package and see that one of the shock boxes had been opened and re-taped shut. Never a good sign. Luckily I had some of the missing parts. Had to run to local parts store for some generic shock mounts though.

I use KYB shocks in all my Muscle Cars, The Gas A Just gives a nice firm ride. I also recommend KYB Excel G shocks not as firm a ride.

parts came missing install hardware not my first set of kyb kind of disappointed as I planned to install today with other parts. Real bummer….

Je les aient posé..juste hâte au printemps pour voir la différence car j'avais des multileaf avant alors c'est un performence upgrade de mettre les monotube....reçu une journée avant la date prévu.

If you need replacement shocks for your 1970-81 Camaro / Firebird / Trans Am, the KYB KG-5526 Gas-a-Just shocks fit perfectly. Pay no attention to the Amazon compatibility chart, it shows that these are not compatible - well, it's wrong! The shocks were a simple installation - less than an hour. The ride is stiffer than before, but that's what I wanted. The launch-off and handling are vastly improved, and I like the ride height. I'm absolutely happy with these shocks!

(1977 Camaro front AND rear replaced with KYB)After buying 2 different sets of monroes (cheapies) and noting their aweful build quality (and action) i sent them back immediately. The spray job wasnt even finished and they had almost the same action as the pieces of old scrap i was replacing! Made in China junk. After looking around and seeing KYB on racing store catalogues I thought id throw in the extra $8 / shock. You could IMMEDIATELY feel and tell the difference in build quality and pump "feel". I will NEVER look at monroe again - KYB or go home. After driving my car with these I was AMAZED (ive replaced shocks before and am very aware of the "new car" feeling) - but GEE, THESE THINGS ARE FANTASTIC!BTW these are made in japan. If you think Japan has ANY relationship to Made in China - ur totally off the mark. Japan produces some of the highest quality workmanship (think tooling), and oh - they OWN the bike world (Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha). All top of the line brands for decades. They take RESPECT in what they do unlike some other counterparts.Buy KYB (4get monroe!!), save BUCKS, Stick em in and go burn some rubber!
