It’s overkill but I use these for holding big fish off the boat to bleed them. No matter what you need to hook with this it is easy once you understand it’s a dual opening design. The hook is shaped to easily connect and disconnect. Once it closes it’s not going to open and disconnect. The finish is no corrosive in fresh and saltwater so far. These will last a lifetime unless I drop one on a rope overboard with a 25# King salmon on it because it wasn’t tied correctly to the boat cleat! 😳
