Exactly what I wanted, measured up perfectly, fit into my mash tun just great! seems very very well built, a bit pricey though. I guess it would have been more at my local LHBS, so i'm thankful for some savings at least. I haven't even tried it out yet, but I already know it'll be better than what I was using, which means my BHE will be a lot higher now. It came with all the parts as shown, no issues. Shipped and packaged really well. Thanks a lot for a great product.

I used this in my 10 gallon cooler and it fit perfect! Allows for a much quicker vorlof. The hole size is just right. It is made with a heavy gauge steel making it very sturdy. I washed it in hot soapy water when it came in and that's all it took!

Just purchased and the domed screen looks great except it came with out the center attachment which is shown and is also stated in questions as being made of stainless steel. So they have obviously changed their packaging/product without changing their picture. If the center hose/tube attachment is not included but is pictured, the description should clearly say so. Had I known, I would have ordered the SS parts when I ordered this as I live in a remote area and there are no such stainless steel parts within 150+ miles of here. After seeing the parts not here, I read more reviews and see that they no longer include it but shouldn't that be included in the description? I view this as a bait and switch.

I brewed with this for the first time yesterday and it worked great! Previously I was using a wire mesh bazooka screen that worked OK but my efficiency went up with this. I did have to buy a SS ball valve & silicone tubing to go with this but I'm glad I did. No sign of rust yet but this is only my first brew with it. I also made a dip tube with a piece of leftover silicone tubing to help get more wort from the deadspace.I should have bought one of these a long time ago.

Works well. It is pretty sturdy, and I like being able to unscrew the bottom from the hose barb fairly easily for cleaning. One criticism is that there are some sharp spots around the edges where the rim meets some of the holes. It did arrive with some minor grease from the manufacturing process, but that was expected and it cleaned off pretty easily.

We just did our first all grain batch, and after mashing for an hour and opening the ball valve on my igloo cooler, nothing came out. We tried a few troubleshooting steps before transferring all of the grain and mash water to our other igloo we were using for sparge water. What we found was a huge amount of grain stuck under the false bottom. We ended up using a BIAB bag to act as an additional filter over the false bottom and were able to do our wort collection/sparge. Maybe our LHBS crushed the grain too fine, so we'll see if a second batch has the same issues.

After trying a series of DIY brewing projects (all with questionable results) I finally made the investment into this false bottom. It works great and I haven't had any sparge issues since. The barb is solid and the piece fits snug on the bottom of my cooler tun. If you're going to spend the money on good ingredients, a few quality gear investments are definitely worth it.

First off - i pick this up for only a few dollars due to a mistake by KegWorks. They misposted their price on Amazon and could have canceled my order but they shipped it to me anyway. Unbelievable move on their part. I highly recommend them and a vendor for brewery supplies.Regarding the False Bottom, it works well. It will leave a small viod at the bottom that you will have to adjust for (maybe an addition 1/4 - 1/2 gallon of mash water). It has seemed to increase my mash efficency by about 8 -10% but it does take longer to recirculate prior to sparge. On my last brew, i actually used the fale bottom just as a filter and use the bazooka tube (my old filter) as a secondary filter. The combo worked well.
