Nice and quiet. My only complaint is that the rubber part that the food goes through to get to the disposal leaves no room for food to go through without me shoving it down with a wooden spoon or something.

Bought a new Kraus kitchen faucet and found this garbage disposal as well. The installer said it was very easy to install. It is pretty quiet. It is not as powerful as a large disposal but it is totally adequate.

I have purchased two of these 1/3hp disposals. First rfrom Home Depot, no knock out plug on that unit. I called them and they said yeah it shouldn’t take a lot of force to knock it out, you can return it. So I returned it and bought another on Amazon.Same problem. Called customer service. This time a different rep said that there is a plug it just take a lot of force, like you’re swinging a bat (!) I work on cars so I have hammers and steel punches etc. I wailed on that thing with impact steel until it started cracking inside. At that point I just decided to carefully drill and Dremel the port out. I measured the plastic with a caliper, it is no less than 2mm thick. The rep lied, this is an issue with their product.I gave two stars because it has a lot of features I wanted such as stainless interior, removable rubber splash guard, and it is SUPER quiet, at less than $100. I hope it’s durable for the long haul, seems well built. This company needs to own its mistake and fix their product, instead of lying to customers and ruining their brand reputation.

Not recommended. Consider sticking with the insinkerator brand and avoid the return trip I must now endure to the UPS store.

First the good. Impressively quiet... even the plumber was surprised how quiet it is. I don't dispose bones or big stuff, so I have no comment on that, but it does fine at chopping up pieces of onion or noodles or rice stuck on plates. little bits. I bought it because the reviews said it's quiet, it doesn't take up alot of space under my sink and with the stainless inside parts it shouldn't rust away and need to be replaced anytime soon. Now the bad. The flange is plastic and it's not even smooth plastic. There is a very noticeable semi sharp ring inside the flange, it a plastic sharp imperfection, and so I won't use the included stopper on a daily basis because I'm afraid it will destroy the rubber ring on the stopper which is the most important part of the stopper. If the stopper was a standard size, I would just buy another if it gets destroyed, but it is not a standard size and replacement stoppers of this diameter CANNOT be purchased in stores or even on Amazon. So I use a stupid silicone floppy lid cover and it's ugly and it leaks. My plumber had to install it twice because the first time it leaked when one of the flimsy gaskets folded over while turning it tight. At least the gasket didn't break. it doesn't leak now.I will not be returning this... it cost me money to get it installed because I'm not great at plumbing and didn't want to try. I wish the flange was a standard diameter because I could buy any style of stopper/strainer combos on the internet. Why did Krause decide to make it non-standard? Stupidity.

Way easier to install than a standard disposal. The slim design is great especially when you're working in a small area. I have a Kraus sink as well and am not a huge fan of the splash guard this disposal comes with. I probably messed up a step during installation, but I can only just get it to sit in the drain and not stay in place on it's own.
