Direct replacement for our previous GE disposal that rusted out. Hopefully this one will last. Not overly loud and seems to have plenty of power.

Tengo un par de dias con el triturador instalado, mas tarde daré mas opiniones.Sin problema con los huesos de aguacate, restos de elotes y hasta conchas de mejillones.Huesos de pollo y cascaras de camarón también sin ningún problema.Ni que decir de restos de vegetales, el único problema fue con un par de pequeñas puntas de cascara plátano, las que unen el rácimo, son muy fibrosas.

This thing is a powerhouse. Very happy with the performance. Sound level is fine...not super loud nor super quiet. I purchased the last one available at the time and got a great deal...though once it arrived I noticed part of the plastic shrouding had a big chunk missing. Thankfully the plastic was just there for cosmetics and was actually broken on the sink side, so not noticeable once installed. I'm sure that's why the one I bought was marked down so much, though listed as new. Would purchase again.

Our last garbage disposal was at least 15 years old. We started having issues with this on and off a year ago already (only 2 years old at that time) Half the time you hear either a loud grinding noise or it shakes half the kitchen (only randomly). You have to put SOAP down the chute with it just to get it to grind and drain. Our plumbing has been checked, NO clogs, but it is almost impossible to get the water to go down half the time. This is seriously been an awful product. And sadly when it started acting up at 2 years old a year ago the warranty was already no good. The REAL cost is paying a plumber to put in yet another garbage disposal which is the really upsetting part. We not only have to buy a new disposal, but pay a plumber as well. Not happy

The unit fit and works great, and is quieter and more powerful than the old one. Installation was a little difficult because the unit is heavy as all 1.5HP units go. I also didn't follow the installation instructions to the letter. Pay attention to the part about lubricating the seal prior to rotating and locking in place. Great value for the price.

We had an old garbage disposal that made a ton of noise and wasn’t chewing things up enough to avoid clogging the drain. I finally went out and read some reviews and found this GE model on the top of several lists including Consumer Reports. I am very happy I ordered this one. Installation was as easy as I have ever had with a garbage disposal, the noise level is a huge improvement (although it still makes some noise), and it plows through whatever I have put through it. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a wonderful disposal....3/4 Horsepower was overkill for my needs but, for the price, you cant beat it. I was shockingly surprised at how quiet this disposal is considering the HP and the 3000 RPMS. Very easy hardwire installation, connected directly to existing pipes without any modifications. Works great...its a Beast! I don't generally get excited about appliances but, am very pleased with this Unit. Had issues trying to order this through my local Home Depot but, their Store Representative referred me to Amazon....can you believe it! I ended up getting it at a better price and receiving it at an earlier delivery date....thanks Home Depot Rep.! Thanks Amazon for the great service as always!
