In the KOSO website documentation it says that we can also just wrap the cable around spark plug for 5-6 turns for detecting rpm, that is for the current model Koso BA035140 . This model (BA035130) is an older one no longer listed on KOSO website and does not have that feature. So had to directly connect into the ignition coil input to get it working. This can potentially void the bike warranty as it changes the bike electrical circuit.Otherwise, it works perfectly. A very nice addition to my power cruiser (Hyosung Aquila GV650) without a standard tachometer.
