I have long haired dogs mostly and these get to the skin through 3 layers of hair. If you use it in 1 direction and then go the opposite it does a great job of thinning out the hair

We use these on our female shih tzus with very long fur. This is what our groomer recommends.This is what you need to keep the tangles down.They are easy to use and they do the job perfectly. They're the right size for our girls. The dogs appreciate being well kept. Tangles are painful to them. For the job this is the most important tool you will need. Priced reasonably.

For the cost, I don't think you can go wrong with this utility grooming tool. Nice weight, smooth finish, perfect size. What else do you want in a utility comb? It's a good value. Buy it!
