This is a very good product for my application. The only thing I wish it was find thread 3/8 24 fine thread.

Once I got the monopod feet to fit on the monopod it worked well. The two metric ends did not fit until I went to a hardware store and they found a connector that worked.

I have been using the #1 feet on my monopod for about 4 years and just wanted a bit more stability without having to use a tripod. It is perfect for my needs.

I really like the concept and the ability to further stabilize my monopod, but just regular use has proven this is not a durable piece of kit for me. Rather disappointed that the plastic has broken so easily - certainly glad the camera was not attached yet while I was using the monopod with the stand was attached.

I think my issue with this device was my expectation. It's not sturdy enough to set up and walk away. But I think its designed to help stabilize while in the hand. With that being said, the friction nut will loosen at the root if you move it around. I don't think better-built versions have that same issue.

Shown in the photos are the 15cm folded height model. I picked the Koolehaoda as they sell both the 12cm and 15cm while most vendor only has the 12cm model. The 15cm will provide more stability. I’ve attached it to my mini Boom Pole Camera Monopod (this monopod has a 3/8” female thread on the bottom to attach the Koolehaoda and on the other end a 1/4” male thread for mount flash, GoPro etc...).The monopod I’m using is 52cm (20.4”) closed and 173.5cm (68.5”) fully extended still very stable that I’ve to worried about tipping over easily. This combo will give me flexibility to mount my Zhiyun Smooth Q when I’m running around filming with an iPhone, the GoPro or Flash. So far I prefer this over the Pergear Mini Tripod base due to 1. Leg folds up reducing overall length 2. It has a beefier 3/8” thread vs the Pergear 1/4”. Overall I’m very satisfied with the quality and overall design and functionality of the unit.

Feet are nice and wide, doesn't feel cheap or plasticy at all.The feet themselves are metal, with rubber tips to protect surfaces. The 3/8-16 stud is long enough to be useful but not so long it prevents attachments. One complaint, the pivoting motion of the base is a bit stiff. This definitely helps if you need to leave a camera standing for a moment, but if you want to swivel it around, you'll definitely want to step on one of the feet first.I've used this as a monopod base, as well as using it as a "grounder" tripod with a 6 inch stand off and ball head. Screw the stand off to the stud on the base, screw a ball head to the top of the stand off, and you're just above ground level with your shots.I've already recommended this base to several people both because of cost and quality.
