I purchased 8 sets for a family vacation, so each family could paint a set as a keepsake/fun memory.We had so much fun! They take paint well, open and close great... only 1 (one main one in one set of the dolls) stopped closing all the way after I painted all sides, including inside. I imagine I can sand it down and it'll close.They're still sitting as a happy reminder of our beach trip!

When I got my first set I sand papered them down and pollished them up a bit before painting the farm animals on them, as a kids toy the kid loved them but after continous use of opening they wouldnt close so I put some supper blue around the bottom edge and allowed to to dry to create some more grip and that works, my second pair I decide not to file down to prevent them from getting worm out fast and did a monkey theme both sets are loved and moving to new york 🥲 will need more soon to replace them

I had to sand these down and seal the areas where the dolls close because it makes a horrible squeaking otherwise. Also the largest doll does not close fully. I mean is it good for the price? Sure. But if you’re doing a professional project I would look for something that’s better quality.

Previously bought from another company. The wood on those were not sturdy nor very smooth. These are extremely sturdy and very smooth. Unless I find another company that makes them as well, I will definitely buy from this company again.

These are wooden Nesting Dolls that are plain, no design so that you can customize them yourself! The fit of the top piece to the bottom is very tight and some of them I couldn't open without fear of breaking them. Maybe make sure they fit snug and not tight. Once you get them open maybe yse a bit of 4000 grade sand paper on the lip or inside (but just a little bit so they are snug and not tight). If you plane to paint them make sure you wear white cotton gloves so that the oil from your hands doesn't cause you problems when you got to paint them. These are a great buy! The possibilities are endless! ;)

The product is poorly made with cuts being poorly handled. One was cut too loose that it falls apart and another so tight I had to to take an exact knife and carefully pry it apart because the softwood material this is made of damages easily.The lathe work was so badly handled that the tops and bottoms are damaged with noticeable holes and there are cracks as well. So I had to buy wood putty to fix it. Basically, this is not an investment, it's a chore.Also, this is my second review because my first criticism of their product was blocked by the sellers, likely to save face from me calling them out on their shoddy craftsmanship.
