I really liked these eggs. They were just the size described. My only gripe is that they were super tight. I had to do some sanding in order for them to come apart more easily. Other than that they were great! Smooth to paint and took primer beautifully.

We fill these eggs with treats for the kiddo's easter basket as an alternative to the ubiquitous (and not environmentally friendly) plastic eggs. These are meant to be painted, but we uses them plain, along with another set of painted eggs from Golden Cockerel. This is my second set and one of the eggs in the set is a bit of a dud (has a patched knot hole and the eggs is extremely difficult to open). That aside, these are the nicest unfinished wooden eggs that I have found.

Bought these for a girlfriend's baby shower, and invited the guests to paint them. The mother-to-be was incredibly pleased with her lovely set of custom nesting eggs.Two years later, the little girl loves them, and plays with them often. They're reasonably sturdy, tight enough to stay together, but loose enough that a child can open them herself.
