I needed a few plastic shims to set the depth for a plumbing fixture so I bought this kit. I am set for life on various thicknesses of plastic shims. They are plastic shims and you get a lot of them.

These shims worked perfectly on a new composite deck installation. Some of the main joists had to be replaced due to water damage. Old joists were smaller than the new joists - placed under the new composite deck boards - top of deck board elevation zeroed out perfectly. Also, can be used for dozens of other uses around the house for home remodeling projects.

This is exactly what I was looking for, flat shims in various sizes. With the various sizes you can adjust gaps with multiple shims. Just note you they will not stay in place while stacked so it's not technically stackable, even if you place the grooved side together. They seem to be fairly sturdy but I'm not sure if the load rating on them, would be good to know. They serve the purpose for what I need (deck build). Not sure how they hold up outside but the images show them being used for decks so I'll assume it'll be fine, especially considering it's made of polypropylene.I do wish the packaging came sorted out, they're just kind of thrown in the box. Also only the red, white, and green have size labeled. (Green size label is barely visible btw) Nice plus but wish it was on all of them.

These are very handy. I like the fact that they're not wedges. The color coding makes it easy to choose the right thickness. I bought some "hooks" for my desk (to hold headsets), and these wedges helped keep the hooks in place when I put them on my thin desk.
