I needed a winch extension to add to my recovery gear. You just never know when you need to add a snatch block to increase your pull power and this solves the longer distance. Just an added tool when you off road in remote places. I have to say the material and build quality is as good as higher priced name brand products.

Haven't used it for a hard pull yet, but appears to be equal quality to the synthetic winch cable that came on my Apex 12000 lb rated winch. One star removed because as stated in the other reviews, one end was not secured with a locking brummell loop, rather it was just tucked inside itself. However it was easy enough to put locking brummell loops at each end myself and now I have a 50 more safe feet to reach those bigger trees!

I had a couple of sailboats and have been using this type of rope a lot in the past. Stronger than steel cable of the same size. I can vouch for that and it is a lot easier to use. The eyes with the stainless steel protection seem well spliced. The rope fits the eyes well enough. I am actually using it for two different sides of a trailer frame lift so I cut the line in half. I need to put in an end splice where I cut it but will probably just use some heat shrink tubing to keep it from unraveling there. This type of single braid slick line is very easy to splice to make eyes and to combine two lines. I would like to find a way to do an end splice but haven't seen one yet. The heat shrink will do for now.

It is probably OK for most people, but it is on the weak side compared to the higher quality ones. It is NOT the first 3/8 synthetic rope I go for, It is the last. The metal eyelets are also easily bent. I have had 10K force on it and it did not break, which is good.
