Some technical complaints here from a reasonably seasoned DIYer.Kohler does not reference any O rings as part of the spout or in the installation guide. However, they DO exist--in front of the two-part metal attachment ring that goes around your 1/2" copper pipe.If this attachment ring comes loose and falls out of the spout (which is a real possibility given the way it's engineered) those O rings are likely to come out as well.If/when this happens, a DIYer is likely to be very confused as to how to put these five separate parts back together AND their correct order. Plus, it's a real pain to insert them back into a very narrow space. (I needed a small grabber tool to get it done.) Do it wrong, and water is going to gush out from behind the spout when the water's on.Kohler customer service has documentation about how this all goes together, but it's not part of the package you'll receive.Kohler will stand behind their product, but it's likely to be a 30-60 minute process on the phone or over chat, which shouldn't be necessary.I've put together and installed a lot of faucets and what-not over the years, but this simple project was way more complicated and confusing that it should have been or needed to be.
