The Kohler K-5529-NA 9 KW steam generator is a great product. This is the second unit that I have purchased. The original is still performing well after 12 years. It may require some periodic maintenance such as replacing an inline water filter that I added (optional) or heating element after 5 or 10 years. The unit is compact and easy to install.

I purchase this product, installed, product had an internal leak and was defective. I immediately returned this product , and reordered a new one of the same. When I was refunded for the defect product, the company withheld $520.00 for a restocking fee. This is not ok for a defective product. And also the fact that I ordered and paid for the same product again. It would be ok if I was just returning it because we did not like the product or decided we didn’t need it.
