To me, compared with the old seat this is 6 star... Best is the installation. The old seat was bottom up. Installation and adjustments were bottom up... crappy wing nuts up what seemed a mile long screw only to jam and it never really set securely on the bowel. Finally I had enough. The Kohler is a top down install meaning I can actually see what I'm doing 99% screw and play. I only broke one of the seat lever covers, I'll live with it. The seat does exactly what I want. Self closes with only a nudge and does not slide around like the old seat. When it comes to the throne who can put a price on security and comfort.... so far so good

I tried 2 less expensive models before this one. They both slipped off the porcelain bowl even when tightened properly. This one uses a better bumper (softer) that doesn't slip. The mounting is unique and easy to do from the top with just a screwdriver !! It has a quick release feature but with a design that doesn't loosen the mount to the bowl at all. There was some thought invested in this design. And of course it is a soft close. Good fit. Good value. Kohler did a nice job on this.

Easy to install. Ergonomically comfortable. Closes softly as expected. I used it on a different brand toilet that did not have a soft closing seat. Worked out fine.

Install was a blast—so easy. Instructions are easy to follow, and the box is very helpful for confirming fit and suitability before you even open the package. Special features (quick temporary removal, slowwwww, silent closing) are lovely and unexpectedly helpful. But this thing is so nice looking. The lid has a sort of sculpted feature that makes it look somewhat luxo (calm down there, it's just a toilet seat). Since it's made of plastic, my expectation is that it will be easier to keep clean. I'm glad I decided to spend a few more bucks and get a "nice" toilet seat for my newly remodeled bath.

4 stars because it had some sort orange/yellow spots which gave me the impression it's either dirty or not a new unit. The night light is not bright enough as I wanted. To replace batteries for the night light you have to unscrew the whole toilet seat. It does close slowly which is a great feature. Besides such minor issues, it's a decent product.

I purchased two of these toilet seats a year apart and am very happy with them. They look very elegant, are stain resistent, great quiet close lid, and way to clean.

Adquirí este asiento para sustituir al original que me duró 16 años (increíble) de la marca Ideal Standard y resultó perfecto en cuanto tamaño, fácil de instalar y con tornillos metálicos que duran mucho más o no son frágiles como los plásticos, sus materiales se sienten de calidad y firmes. El sistema de cerrado lento tanto en la tapa como el asiento evitan los clásicos azotones de los que no tienen ese sistema (como el que sustituí). Tiene un sistema que permite quitar el asiento sin necesidad de aflojar los tornillos para su fácil limpieza. Muy recomendable
