I needed just the plunger to replace a lost one. I unscrewed the plunger from the wing base, and it fit into the existing base, but wouldn't screw in for a snug fit. It should be alright, as the unit didn't leak.It seemed odd that the original cover had the Kohler name, and it also appears on the picture on the Amazon product page. However, the one I got didn't have the Kohler name. It was blank.

say what! nice Kohler bathroom sink, decided to spend a few extra bucks to match it. Surprise!!! too tall. like the empire state bldg in the alaskan snow. plumber shocked too. save your bucks.
