The handle is made out of plastic but for the price I can't fault it.Works well with the masking fluid I got it for.

I bought this to use with masking fluid, and it was just great - neat lines. I tried with some runnier paint, and it didn't do so well, more blobby.

No more sticky brushes. The ruling pen was easy to clean.

I bought this tool to make geometric artwork and to use with watercolor. The nibs on this item are uneven and rough, this can damage paper when trying to draw lines. I tested this on some used paper and the lines are uneven no matter the width of the line you’re trying to make.

I bought this to use with masking fluid on watercolour paper. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a ruling pen that was going to be roughly treated by constantly having latex peeled from it. I have always found Koh - I - Noor products to be reliable and good value for money and this pen is no exception. There is nothing fancy about it- a black plastic handle with a nickel plated business end which adjusts easily with a knurled knob that holds the aperture that is set firmly in place. It will make the kind of hair-fine line I needed - I like masking out foliage and branches in this way- and does exactly what I wanted. It works fine with Indian ink should one want it for the purpose for which it was designed and it doesn't scratch the paper. This Koh-I - Noor ruling pen was also inexpensive, which pleases me greatly as I do love a bargain. It comes in a neat little pack to keep it in which hopefully will encourage me to clean it regularly and prevent me losing it. What is not to like ?
