I read the reviews that said one person could assemble but better for two. I am one 62-year-old woman I assembled it by myself no problems. The instructions are easy to follow in that all the parts have color coated stickers. It’s my first futon, so I don’t have anything compared to, but I truly love it and nap on it frequently. The futon appears to be sturdy and it’s very attractive. I purchased a queen size unit.

Easy to use and very good quality. I bought two and one was cracked when I opened it. Other than that, I’m happy

Had an experienced assembler assemble this futon frame. It is a tedious but worthwhile endeavor. The side tables are great, and the back adjusts to two positions and flat. We have it in a den/company sleep room. It’s just what I was looking for.

I knew I was allergic to the wood frame once the box was opened (hives & face itchiness/irritation) , but I figured that the fumes would peter out. I've kept the window open in the guest room -where the futon is- this whole time, & still can only be in the room for a few minutes before my allergy symptoms get too bothersome. I wish I would have returned it, but we had guests coming & no other sleeping option. I'm concerned about what is in the wood finish that this company used. :(Furthermore, the wood color is much darker than what's featured in the picture, it's almost black, instead of a chocolate brown.

It was tedious to put together but that was to be expected. It's heavy to fold as I got the queen size. It is well made and I love the flip up ends to be used as a little table. I love it.

Love the attached side tables. Great piece of furniture for my college aged daughter. Sofa most of the time but when friends visit a great place for them to sleep.

The only reason I'm giving four stars for now is that I have only owned this queen-sized futon-frame for barely a month, but so far so good, and I use it everyday as it replaced my previous piece of several-decades-old furniture. As time passes and it continues to hold up, I will come back to update my rating/review.The dark-stained wood definitely looks nice and feels sturdy. Some of the pieces weren't quite as thoroughly or evenly sanded as I would have liked compared to other pieces, but they were non-outward facing pieces, so I guess its not that big of a deal. Very little risk of splintering/snagging anything when its on the underside of the seat-bench. Took some time to assemble (a couple hours while listening to shows in the background), and definitely requires two people to situate and fasten the assembled bench-pieces to the assembled holding-frame. I do like being able to raise/collapse the arm-shelves as needed, and that there are three positions for the futon; upright, lounge, and bed. It is definitely easiest to have two people when changing futon-positions, as the wood and mattress weights add up quickly and having the extra pair of hands for control is desired. Can't say I've tested the weight-limits of the product yet (600 pounds they say), as the two of us who regularly use it don't quite hit the 300-mark combined, but we've had 3rd persons sit on it with us without issue so far.Only minor thing I've noticed, is that due to the frame having multiple available positions, it may creak/flex/adjust depending on who's sitting on it, how, and where, but it certainly hasn't slipped out of position on us yet.UPDATE:I've now owned this futon frame for ~18 months now, and it's still held up fine. Survived the move out my old apt as well.
