The 10-inch Knipex angled diagonal cutter (model 74 01 250) is ideal for tough, continuous use. Easy to use, it offers high-leverage axel design with a 20 percent reduction in required force compared to conventional cutters of the same length for reduced fatigue. It features optimum coordination of the cutting edge angle, transmission ratio, and ergonomic handle shape, and it easily cuts nails and all types of wire with high-performance precision.
Designed for cutting harder wires and materials, the 10-inch diagonal cutter is unique to Knipex, providing up to 25 percent more cutting power than the 8-inch model. Its longer size also allows for reaching into confined spaces.
Forged from oil-hardened chrome vanadium steel, it's built to last. The fixed forged axle rivet joint assures continuous smooth operation with no weakening or wobbling effect over time. The precision matched, induction-hardened cutting edges cut a wide range of materials — from soft copper and aluminum to hardened materials like nails, piano wire, or ACSR wire without changing tools or damaging the cutting edges. It's completed with heavy duty plastic-coated handle grips.

Sometimes we give our pliers a really hard time. We try to destroy them to find out what makes them good and long-lasting. Because we don't want to leave anything to chance, we take a long, careful look.
The steel Knipex uses is precisely hardened with a maximum of 0.8 percent carbon and defined parts of chromium and vanadium, guaranteeing optimum cutting performance and service life — even though it requires special production and costs a bit more. But our high product demands require this.
The rivet of our high-leverage diagonal cutter also has to stand up to a lot of stress. That's why we literally give it backup: we forge it straight onto the pliers. This means extra effort as we have to precision mill the rivet to a few hundredth millimeters. But satisfied users are worth this effort.

Work great. They fit into a tool pouch pretty easily and despite being smaller than my channel lock cutters, they seem to have better leverage and be sharper. Havent had any issues with them after a couple months of daily use.

Most of my pliers are Knipex because they are the best.If you use their side cutters, you won't use others.Only pliers I have which are not Knipex are normal slip joint pliers just because Knipex doesn't make those.

I bought a cheaper version from a different company and it lasted for a short time. This one is like my old one that still works but it is not cutting as good. This one cuts everything that I have used to cut. A little more expensive than the other ones but I know that it is better quality than the rest. Would recommend.

Recebi o hoje o meu alicate, e este, diferente de outros que já comprei, veio em um blister o que garante a integridade do alicate e que ninguém o tenha usado e devolvido. Lâminas perfeitamente alinhadas, o alicate faz um corte limpo em uma folha de papel higiênico sem amassar ou puxar alguma fibra. Paguei R$ 156,00 o que acredito ser um preço promocional para um alicate "Made in German" com qualidade Knipex, aos poucos, estou montando um set de ferramentas Knipex.

This is my first pair of Knipex cutters and they have redefined what I call quality. I have owned what I thought were best quality Swiss made cutters for years but these are far better. I was amazed at how much less effort these tools require to cut wire. Very happy with this purchase.

I am 100% - no, scratch that - 200% satisfied with these cutters from Knipex. These are hands-down the ultimate cutters. I simply can't stress enough how effortless they are to use, how tough they are, and how high the quality is. They have extremely high leverage and seem to be immune to any type of damage on the cutting edges. Coat hangers, heavy gauge wire, small bolts, even nails... I haven't tried to push them to their limit, but I know without a doubt they would stand up to just about anything that will fit in the jaws. The capacity is rated at 3mm hardened piano wire. I have no doubt they would cut at their capacity without any damage or wear.I've been an industrial maintenance technician for 15+ years and have worked in many types of manufacturing and production type facilities. The challenges my tools face are steep. Every tool adds weight to my bag and must earn their place as highly valuable and a "must-have" tool. These Knipex cutters have a permanent spot in my bag.Some people might refer to these as "dikes". I have a coworker who has the Klein high-leverage cutters in his bag. The Klein is a fine tool, no doubt. If I wasn't aware of these Knipex cutters I would have bought the Klein. They are great tools and I have nothing bad to say about them whatsoever. BUT - If I had to choose between the two, the Knipex wins, hands down - no contest. These cutters have replaced all my old cutting pliers in my tool bag and are my main go-to for the toughest cutting jobs. The old cutters I have are simply unworthy of a place in my tool bag - they are like toys by comparison, and they now gather dust and rust in the junk drawer.
