Here are my thoughts on this KNINE OUTDOORS Butt Out Game Dressing Tool for Field Dressing (hopefully). I'd say this is specific to large game, like whitetails.Also, field dressing and thoroughly cleaning out your harvest is very important for the general quality and safety of the meat. If you're a hunter, please do the job right and clean out your game carefully! I've worked at a processing shop for deer season and can't believe how bad some people leave the condition of their kill. Somebody is supposed to be eating that!Ok, rant over and onto the review. I can only give thoughts as my season just started and I have not tagged anything yet. I've also never had a "butt out" tool before. This can be one of the more challenging places to get freed up and clean, but a very important one.I think this tool will help a good bit. Plus it'll make sticking your knife blade in there a ton safer than trying to guide it with fingers.Nice bright green color. Should be easy to find in a pile or at night. Ever field dress at dusk? Things get lost easily.Without having used it for real, my only reservation is that it might be a little big and hard to insert. It does have that nice finger hole to help get leverage. But it seems a tad big to me. Hopefully I can test it out soon!
