The K&N Throttle Control Module is designed to improve throttle response and acceleration, and increases pedal sensitivity without modifying factory ECU settings. The system processes input data from the gas pedal, and modifies the signal before sending it to the ECU for an adjustable level of sensitivity, creating an increase in throttle responsiveness that will make your car feel like a whole new machine. The Throttle Control Module can typically be installed in less than 30 minutes with no software required, and is adjustable on-the-go, helping you fine-tune the sensitivity of your throttle response. The kit includes the module, wiring harness, adjustable knob, hardware, and detailed instructions, and is covered under K&N's 90-Day Limited Warranty. How It Works -The Throttle Control Module processes input data from the gas pedal, and modifies the signal before sending it to the ECU for an adjustable level of sensitivity, creating an increase in throttle responsiveness. Wire harness -The wire harness connects the Throttle Control Module's electronic control unit to the throttle pedal on the vehicle, allowing a direct connection between your gas pedal and throttle body. The plugs and connectors are designed to attach directly to your vehicle's stock components for easy plug-and-play installation. Control dial -The stylish aluminum control dial installs into the cab of your vehicle to give you direct control over your Throttle Control Module, allowing you to adjust how much or how little the throttle signal is adjusted. It does exactly what it says it does.I highly recommend this to anyone that might experience a lag with the factory throttle setup.The one factor I did have while installing this in my 13 Explorer, was it's really really tight to get access to the sensor. Please review your vehicle to see if you have space to make the change.Take care.

Gets rid of that throttle lag. I can see wrecking the transmission if you’re not careful in track and strip mode .

I bought this in April for my challenger and it worked great. Over the past week it's been giving me check engine and goes into limp mode in the freeway. I nearly got into an accident because of how poorly my car drove with this error. I would definitely want a replacement or a refund for it being this expensive.

Works really well I didn’t have much luck with the economy setting but if your looking to peel the tires off your truck or race people this is the unit with no sensitivity it’s still very touchy on the throttle but ya get used to it and it’s all plug and play and can change it on the fly from the app on your phone

The installation is really easy only issues was with the "fuse holder" which you have to buy separately so if you purchase the kit you have to get a pack of fuse holders unless you already have some..Other then that the kit does exactly what it suppose to do! I no longer have any lag on my '15 tC when shifting its like it has a sport mode perfect for my Daily I'm sure on a V6 or V8 you'd feel it even more

I bought the Throttle Control Module but the both plug end are doesn't fit with the plug in my car. I called the customer support a few times but no one pick up the phone so I could not use this item for my car until now.

Works well, easy to install. The first day I left it on high while running around and got used to the feel. Turned it of when I got home and the next day I thought there was something wrong with the truck. Was just back to the normal lag without the module. Will be leaving this on pretty much all the time now.Amended: Went into limp mode. Turned off turned back on and it was fine. Unfortunately it happened as I was accelerating onto the highway and I almost got rear ended.Update: got in touch with K&N. Brand new unit sent out and issue free for 6 months.

Installed on ‘20 Toyota 4Runner. Install is literally (5) minutes. Hiding the wires, etc (15) minutes total. This unit completely eliminates the lag time between when you press the accelerator and when/how the engine responds. It’s dial adjustable (but I just use max gain setting).Understanding that when you give full throttle on most modern vehicles, the request is dumbed down by the computer for mpg and pollution reasons, (unless it’s a performance vehicle). This throttle module eliminates/reduces this “dumbing down” and provides a more responsive throttle whether you give it a little gas or a lot. You’ll notice.
