I’ve been on a journey to find the best filter for my truck which runs 5w-30 FS. I’ve used Bosch Professional, ST, Fram Ultra Syn, Purolator One, Fram TG, and am convinced this K&N runs the best. I am aware there is a little less filtration than others which allows for a bit more flow. Whatever the reason my starts are softer and runs quieter at hard acceleration. For these reasons I’m going to continue to buy this K&N filter.

I normally use WIX brand oil filter. But my 2003 Nissan Xterra Se 3.3 4x4 has 200k miles. This engine is a powerful running motor for that kinda milage. I'm always looking to improve. The K&N product line is among the best. I have thier air filter systems in all my vehicles. I would expect the oil filter to be equally good. The price was better than the WIX I use. I'm certain I will be purchasing this filter again.

K&N is a well revered manufacturer for all kinds of automotive supplies and performance upgrades. I trust their products and have even more from them for other purposes. This is one of the more expensive filters on Amazon specifically for my year of cars, I currently have this on my 02 Civic. I have not had any issues or leaks with this filter, and it claims to have a high flow performance with topnotch filtration system to make sure you are getting clean oil flowing in the engine. Also great for high-mileage vehicles as well. I use this for every oil change I have and car runs great.
