Definitely added a little more power and sound, that's all I wanted! Had to open up the factory hole a little bit for the oxygen sensor. That only took another ten minutes or so, I used a deburring carbide cutter on my drill, that worked nicely.

Sounds good when you pair it with a throttle body spacer

I have put this off for a while. I have done the Cat-back and the Pedal Commander (+++++), but this finishes thing off nicely. Not sure of a mileage improvement as of yet, but there is a noticeable improvement at acceleration rolling at low speed. There is a distinctive low tone that is excellent, but no where near obnoxious... Tool me less than 1 hour to install. I would highly recommend this product.

Per instructions, took about two hours to install onto my 2013 Wrangler Sahara, likely less time if I was more familiar with working on cars! Straightforward bolt-on, cooler sounding post install, don't know about incremental power since I don't usually revv out to 5K around the city - but that's okay since I K&N all my cars ha.Be careful with the elbow fitting for your MAF sensor - DO NOT wrench it as per instructions, you will de-thread or snap that fitting altogether. Plumber tape it up and hand tighten is sufficient, ignore the instructions that says wrench it two turns. Do not do this lol.

However, I was blown away after taking my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon for a drive. Not to sound too overblown, I am amazed that this is the same Jeep. I can feel the extra horsepower and torque at about 2k RPM, and on through 4k RPM the sound just gets deeper and more throaty. At 5k it's howling like a sports car (almost). The installation was easy, and there were no problems. It took about 2 hours even though I also installed the Airaid throttlebody spacer (highly recommend doing both) at the same time. Honestly, I am so impressed with how this came out. One of the best modifications that I've done to my Jeep yet. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

Aunque en la descripción no dice, es todo el sistema de snorkel para jeep jk. La instalación puede ser un poco complicada pero se puede realizar en unas 4 horas. Totalmente recomendable.

I purchased the K&N 77-1566KP performance intake kit with polished tube hoping to get better gas mileage and have only seen a tiny increase. However, my jeep accelerates much better. Installation was easy, but I had to get creative. I cut about three inches off the factory crank case breather hose, which fit the crank case tube much better than the one sold with the intake kit. I put some glue on the end of the kit hose and slid it into the cut hose piece and clamped it on tight. I then clammed the hose to the crank case tube using the larger end of the original hose that was cut and clamped to the kit hose. I then attached and clamped the other end of the kit hose to the air intake tube where it’s supposed to go. On the filter hood, I reversed the screws using the Allen wrench. The screws come up from their case mounts sticking up. I used thread lock and lock washers so that they’re tight. This way, I place the filter hood over the screws that sick up from the case and secure them with wing nuts. This allows me to get to the filter by hand without using an Allen wrench. Once assembled, I drove my 2015 two-door 6 speed wrangler and enjoyed the sound and power. I wanted better gas mileage, but more power with a slight mileage increase was worth buying the kit. I’m not worried about water getting into my engine because I’m not planning to drive through deep water.

I installed this about a month ago on my 2017 JKU Rubicon. The installation is mostly straightforward, but I did not have enough of the specified bolts and nuts and therefore needed to improvise a bit. They should use a single type of bolt rather than mixing what I gather are some cosmetically appealing bolts and other bolts for hidden connections; mixing the bolt type and length of bolts seemed unnecessary (they are all the same thread/size) and added some confusion to the installation. The other issue I had was reconnecting the crankcase vent hose - as others have noted the included hose is really too small; I used a heat gun on the end until it was almost melting and managed to get it connected that way. One thing to note is that while removing/installing that vent it is easy to accidentally detach the back end of the vent pipe at the engine block - that happened to me and it was a challenge to reconnect it. Other fitment issues are all well within the range of what you'd call reasonable. I didn't time how long it all took me but would guess two hours. It does leave one with an impression that the factory air intake is needlessly large and complex - there is much less to this kit than the large molded plastic intake parts you are replacing. One thing to note is that the K&N filter is completely open on the bottom down to the road whereas the factory intake routes all air to a more protected vent hole. I'm sure that the upside to that is cooler air going in than the factory setup, although instinctively, all that exposure does seems like a potential downside. Hard to know.As far as results, the sound certainly has a new pleasant growl when you step on the gas, but is not noticeable at idle or steady cruising. Throttle response seems improved and there is a sense of increased power under heavy load - climbing a mountain pass at full throttle (I-70 west from Denver, for example) I don't yet have a trustworthy benchmark about any mileage improvement, but if the new engine roar means you become more of a lead-foot to hear it I'd expect mileage to go down regardless. I'll update this once I get a better sense of any mileage change. So far I'm pleased. It gets dinged a star for missing a nut and a bolt or two and the vent hose fitment issue. One final thing, almost 4 weeks later and I've yet to receive the $25 rebate, although the K&N site indicates that the rebate is approved and "pending." (I filled it out the same day I ordered) Companies don't understand that one reason why Amazon is so successful is how fast they give you money back - from a product return for example. Except for Amazon, everyone else takes your money instantly and then you get a slow-boat-to-China on any refund/rebate. Hey Amazon, why don't you push for handling rebates yourself? You'd do it so much better. But then I'm sure that the rebate process is intentionally slow. Just know that that slowness means I am intentionally unenthusiastic about repeat business.

Im not a mechanic or even mechanically inclined. I like off-roading, snowmobiling, motorcycles, etc. but I pay a professional to maintain my vehicles. I can only base my review on personal experience in driving the vehicle before and after the installation. This performs exactly as my mechanic told me it would. I wanted more HP and better sound without spending the money on a hemi or a supercharger. This was the next best option. *should note that I combined this intake with a Magnaflow axleback dual exhaust on my 2012 wrangler. The two products together made a very real tangible difference in sound and a slight increase in HP that was instantly noticeable. Highly recommend.
