I was doing some work on my 2004 Acura RSX, figured I'd make some more room in the engine bay and try this product. Maybe there is a noticeable improvement in acceleration or maybe it's placebo. I did measure my mileage before and after install for several thousand miles. Seems to add one mile per gallon but I'm driving freeway a lot now, not sure if it helps with that. This was easy to install except the mounting bolt is not lined up, had to use a longer screw and it's not flush. This did not come with stickers as shown in the picture so I had to reinstall my original intake (I did wait until the last couple days before my smog was due). I called customer support and they would not accept a return because it was outside the 30 day window (about 50 days from purchase date). I can fill out a form and get a replacement sticker in about a week. I didn't know the stickers were required until I went to my smog check yesterday. Pretty lame experience.

The intake definitely have a better sound when accelerating. Unfortunately it was a very expensive pain in the hind parts when it comes to CEL( check engine light). I eventually replaced everything dealing with the intake ( IRV, bypass valve, manifold, etc.) and went back to factory air box with a K&N round reusable filter. CEL is finally gone. Save your money and buy the round filter for the air box $60.

Purchased this K&N kit for my 2005 Honda CRV but to my dismay the tube connection to the Throttle body can't fit. The throttle body on my 05 CRV is angled forward about 9 deg. My son has a 04 Honda CRV so knowing now what to look for I matched the tube to the position of the throttle body on his 04 CRV and to his delight it was a go, both 04 and 05 CRVs have the same size engines. Two hours later we started it up and cruised down the hill to warm the engine and proceeded back up the hill. About 15 mph I stomped the peddle and the acceleration was astounding! That car was previously my wife's and the only thing I did to it when we bought it from the dealer was install a Borla exhaust sys. intending later to upgrade the intake end. I scored this 2005 CRV that was in excellent condition but needed some TLC. I've replaced the stock exhaust with a Borla and Amazon has another K&N 69-0015TR that a reviewer installed on his Honda 05' CRV. I hope this one will fit!

Real easy to install, can tell a small difference but I'm Aldo going to be installing box racing exhaust and headers (I own a 2002 Honda CRV ex 5 speed) but ya the acceleration is a bit better also long drives you can deffinately tell at the pump

The K&N air filter is the only product I have ever put on my cars. The filter gives the car a little more power, and makes the muffler sound a little deeper. As for gas mileage it really doesn't improve any noticeable amount. I really bought this because I didn't like the stock filter on my rsx, and my air filter needed replaced. All in all good product, and I would recommend it to a friend.

I installed this on my wife's 2003 Honda CRV, and after using it for a few months now - we find it beneficial. Hers is a commuter car...our intent was not to "hop-up" our little CRV, but get more response as it is just a 4cyl automatic. We do get better response - most noticeably at highway speeds. Also, the fuel economy has improved a bit which my wife noticed on her own (I didn't tell her about that part!). It also sounds just a wee bit louder...only when you step on it really.A side benefit is all of the room this leaves in the engine compartment after removing the bulky stock components. And the price here at Amazon was a bargain - none of the retailers where I live even came close. The only gripe I have is that the instructions & photos were poor & lacked detail. Because this product fits several different vehicles - they kind of generalize & gloss over the whole procedure...not a good place to get cheap guys. So, you have to be VERY CAREFUL when removing emissions hoses - and exactly which ones. Because of the tiny photos & unclear description - I accidentally removed and broke a $150 fragile plastic stem off one valve. I thought it was the one they described & in the lousy picture, but it was the wrong one. Parts guy at Honda dealer says the only time he sells that part is when customers install K&N air intakes! And what a shame, had the instructions/pictures been half reasonable - it would have been a 5 minute breeze to install!Otherwise, this would have been a 5-star product.
