About this item

  • 1. The drum head of Kmise banjolele made of polyester with great elasticity has a quick response. Equipped with superior Aquila String from Italy and high quality closed geared tuners, this banjolele can not only produce a bright and percussive tone but also be in an accurate intonation and stay in tune well.
  • 2. Compared with other banjoleles, Kmise banjolele with action 3mm at the 12th fret is very comfortable for beginners to learn because players do not need to press too hard with such a low action. Preset with truss rod inside the neck, players can adjust the action with the wrench as needed. Smooth fretboard and neat fret wires also offer comfortable touch and protect hands from being scratched.
  • 3. Multifunctional strap with an adjustable length from 45.6'' to 66.1'' can release the pressure of the banjolele and set hands free to play. The strap equips with two hooks can allow players not to drill a hole on the banjolele but fasten the hook on the metal frame and tie the leather belt on either headstock or strap lock.
  • 4. Kmise banjolele has various playing methods. It can be in a traditional resonator style or an open back style by detaching its back. Traditional resonator style produces a mellower, softer sound while the open back style has a brighter sound. The package also comes with a piezo pickup that can connect the recording equipment for stage performance, which makes Kmise banjolele a super playable and multifunctional musical instrument.

I really like my Kmise banjolele. The sound is classic banjo in a concert size uke. I love the white head and wooden body. The strap works nicely and the gig bag is handy to take my banjolele in the road! The set up was easy. The strings settled in nicely sooner than I expected. This is my second banjolele and I much prefer my Kmise than other brand. Don’t hesitate to buy this instrument if you are looking for a great sounding fun size banjo.

UPDATE: I still stand by my statement that beginners should pass on this. BUT, this could be a fun instrument for intermediate and advanced players. It took me close to an hour to make the adjustments necessary for this instrument to be playable. Once I got all the strings off, the tuning peg for the A string was the only one that was loose. Once I opened it up, I noticed there was quite a bit of debris that was most likely accumulated from the machining process. That's a QC issue with the company that made the tuners although I feel that whomever assembled the instrument should have caught it and corrected. Overall, I think it's a decent buy for the price. Yes, I had to spend some time to make it playable, but now that it's set up properly, I'm happy with it. I will probably still replace the tuners somewhere down the road but once I had a look at the guts, it doesn't seem to be as urgent as I had originally thought. If it had come out of the box in this condition, I would have rated it a 4 or 5, but with the time I had to put into it, the broken strap button, and my initial disappointment from how it came out of the box, I have to give it a 3.First of all, this instrument is not for beginners. It's a beautiful instrument but it requires too much work out of the box for a beginner. Things went wrong right away. Loved the look of the strap and the material BUT it takes some work to get the buttons through the holes to the point where the brad on one of the buttons broke trying to get it through the hole. It actually made it possible to get it through the hole and then crimped it back in place with pliers. It seems to be holding well for now. You'll learn the value of stretching your strings with this instrument. It was impossible to tune out of the box. At first, I thought maybe the electronic tuner was junk but I tried it on my other ukes and double-checked the tuning with my Snark and the tuner that's included is above average. I sat the instrument down for a few seconds to go grab a capo and the A string broke(which seems to be a recurring theme). That's due to them not being strung properly by the manufacturer, they're wound too tight at the tuning peg. Upside to the A string breaking, it gave me a chance to check the tuning peg. The tuning pegs are junk. Kudos to you if you get one and can keep it in tune. The pegs are too loose and since they're closed, not easy to adjust. I plan to swap them out with a set of quality, open-gear pegs.I'm giving this a one-star so people will read the review but I would actually rate it 2 stars. As mentioned earlier, it is a beautiful instrument, has great sound, and the wood grain is gorgeous. With a little work and $10-$20 for better parts, I think I can turn it into a 4 star instrument. And the pickup that is included is a decent little pickup. If you're a beginner, this is not the instrument for you. Spend a little more money and get a Gold Tone Little Gem or a base level Oscar Schmitt. They're not that much more expensive but will be less hassle for you out of the box. If you decide to go ahead and give it a try, I recommend re-stringing it before you do anything else. Replace the tuners if needed and enjoy.

El banjo es precioso. Tiene el tamaño de un ukulele concierto. Yo nunca había tocado un banjo, así que no sé que tan valida es mi opinión, pero suena muy bien y me parece de buena calidad.Trae todo lo que dice la imagen.

This banjolele met all my criteria for quality, workmanship and playability. I currently have 6 ukes and have always wanted a banjolele to add to my collection but the prices were way out of line. This banjolele was very reasonably priced and was skeptical on quality but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. A great uke for the price. Quality of product is very nice and have no complaints about sharp frets or edges and no blemishes during the finish process. Other then the usual stretching of new strings for a couple days, it now holds its tuning very well and mantains it normally. Overall, I was very pleased with the product. The picks that come with this unit are for guitar and since I do not use picks to play anyways, it was not of any concern. The strap is decent and if I decide to use it, it will easily attach. The tuner works perfect and always handy to have extra tuners. All accessories came as promised and it was packed quite well for shipping. No real complaints as it has been a fun instrument to play with the fun twang of a banjo.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive banjo ukulele that’s playable, well built, looks good, and is inexpensive, this one is great. Mine stays in tune well. I did adjust the truss rod to lower the action just a little but it was still quite playable without doing it. The gig bag is actually better and has more padding than I expected. The tuner works fine. The pickup works but the adhesive is really strong. It’s difficult to remove once it’s on. The fret edges are a little rough but not too bad. Still deciding if I want to file them or not. Overall I really like this item.

I’m not an expert professional or a performer so I didn’t want to buy a top quality expensive banjolele but I was pleasantly surprised with this one! It feels heavy and sturdy not cheap. The pegs and tuner are plastic but they’re solid and they work. The gold logo is coming off but I’m not mad about it. The strap is a little weird where it clips onto the bottom but it’s ok. The case is nice and sturdy, maybe a little tight but it zips up and protects it. The pick up is probably really cheap but I’ve never had one before so I think it’s really cool! You can use it on any other instruments you have, too (you need an amp for it to work) Using this, you can plug your banjolele into an I-rig and play with distortion ;)All in all, this a is a great sounding little banjolele that I am extremely satisfied with!No problem with shipping either

Bought the banjolele just to have the variety of sound as I learn the ukulele. This was a great deal with some positive video reviews on line so I took a chance and am very happy that I did. While I don't have another banjolele to compare this to, I can say that it feels solid in the hands and I like the ready-to-play complete package that it is bundled with.Impressively, I received to an email from them after purchase that seemed like a blanket email just checking in and inviting me to ask any questions. I did. I wanted to know how to pronounce the brand name. They responded within 24 hours that it is pronounced "K-mizz." Interesting, and now I know.Even more impressively though, I found a manufacturing defect with an apparent piece of debris under the laminate on the drum cylinder that was causing a bubble in the laminate. I sent the seller a photo with a description of the problem and they sent out a replacement - can't argue with that customer service at all.Because of that customer service experience and the quality of this banjolele, I have since purchased two more Kmise instruments: a tenor and a concert ukulele. Why? Because at the prices paid, I feel like I am getting a great value, so this new hobby of mine has become very inexpensive to allow me to expand to an ukulele tuned to low G in the tenor, and the concert just because I fell in love with the design - no other reason, happy birthday to me.Bottom line: I highly recommend this banjolele as well as the other Kmise instruments.
