Executive Summary: Well designed. Well made. Professional grade. Comfy.This stool is great for guitar players, and probably for any application where a music stool is the right solution. The footrest is easily adjustable-- be sure to follow the English (or German) instructions and don't tighten the nylock nuts too much-- just adjust them to keep the footrest from falling off, but not so tight that you cannot easily move the footrest to any desired position. There are acorn nuts to cover the threads and lock against the nylock nuts to keep their position. With this, the footrest has never moved out of position while playing-- and yet you can still easily disengage it from the detents and then adjust as you like. Nice.I liked the stool so much I purchased the backrest as well-- and it's much more comfortable than my old off-brand stool that was very similar-- but somehow really uncomfortable.The K&M is not inexpensive, but I would have saved a bunch if I had simply purchased the K&M to begin with. Interesting how seemingly small design elements make a big difference in playing comfort and performance utility.

Been using this for live gigs and find it comfortable for a gig night. Easy to carry, VERY sturdy and well constructed…the foot feast is also great for playing guitar while not interfering when I’m at the piano…adjustable angle for the seat also allows for a full sitting position or a hybrid sit/lean style…will buy another if I need to

The stool is well constructed and great overall, but wish it had more adjustability with the foot rest. I need my right foot higher when I play the electric guitar to cradle it more and need it lower for the acoustic guitar.

This german chair is made well. I am very happy with it. Has a great warranty and is comfortable. Of course, it costs much more, but at least it is durable and I won’t end up in ER like I did with the other cheap stools recently with a concussion and messed up back . No more crap stools from any place that doesn’t sell quality!

Very well made, sturdy; excellent German engineered craftsmanship. Pneumatically adjustable main post, tilting seat and adjustable foot rest make this stool the best of the best. Highly recommended.
