About this item

  • All-new K-702 midrange compression driver, featuring a polyimide diaphragm, for exceptional detail
  • For the first time, the Heresy IV features a rear port for the most efficient, fastest air transfer in their class, which reduces port noise for punchier low frequencies
  • Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom designed inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port. Less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass

First introduced in 1957, the Heresy, a three-way design, started out as a compact center channel speaker to accompany the Klipschorn in three-speaker stereo arrays. The Heresy IV offers unparalleled sound quality from a relatively small speaker.

One speaker was defective. I tried to exchange it, but Amazon crashed every time I tried. Looks like I'm returning both speakers which hopefully won't destroy my back.

So far I'm loving these and they aren't even burned in. I have about two weeks of play on them. Coming from the RP600Ms, the Heresy's are a step up. I have them raised on small stools so they hit my ears better in my desk chair. The room size is 12x17. These speakers sound effortless even at low volume, and I don't have very expensive gear hooked up to it, I'm really interested to see how they's sound with a tube amp close in price to the pair. They fill the room much better than the RP600Ms could. I don't think I've found my end game speakers, but I've definitely have found a life time pair to stay in rotation. For reference the vinyl chain is ATVM95C, Technics 1200mk7 (with WAudio 10 AWG AC Power Cable), Van Den Hul's 102III RCAs and stock ground wire to iFi Zen Phono to Van Den Hul's The Name RCAs to the Yamaha AS 801 (with WAudio 10 AWG AC Power Cable) to Rocketfish 16 Gauge Pure Copper Speaker Wire and banana plugs to the Heresy's IVs and Klipsch R-100SW Subwooffer.I do also have these hooked up to an Onkyo C-7030 CD player as well with very cheap ebay RCAs. John Mayer's Born & Raised on CD sounds out of this world with these speakers! I truly can't wait to hear what these sound like hooked up to more expensive electronics. Also 10 year warranty from the factory, what more can you ask for!

WOW. Speakers look great and sound spectacular right out of the box. Sound is incredibly rich and clear across the high/low spectrum. The seller, IQ Home Entertainment, were fantastic. Questions asked were answered near immediately (thanks Sean) prior to purchase. Ordered late on Saturday morning. Speakers shipped in the afternoon and arrived on my doorstep at noon on Monday. Bravo IQ thanks so much.

These are one of the best set of speakers I've ever owned. They look aesthetically good and the detail and sound quality, top notch. Highly recommended.

Great speakers! Terrible reseller. They didn’t honor the price that they listed in Amazon. Bought the speakers elsewhere

I was looking at getting the Forte IV's and went to a Klipsch Heritage dealer in the area to give a listen, I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped, just didn't overwhelm me, and for $5000 they would have to.Gave the Cornwall IV's a listen and they were magical, I just don't have the space for them no matter how I tried to figure it out. That left the Heresy IV's, we connected them and gave a listen. I was astounded, they were more pronounced than the Forte and had their own sound. Sounded to me like a smaller Cornwall, while the Forte stood apart as not as impressive to me.The dealer only had floor samples, so took a few days to think about it and decided to go with the Heresy over the Forte, Amazon had them in stock and ordered, unbelievable received one the next day, and its matching sister two days later.Took a day or two to settle in, and now sound so sweet, so put in a little time before you react, they improve shortly and keep getting better.Maybe the Forte 's would have sounded good in my space, but I know the Heresy's sound great with all types of music and couldn't be happier to own real Klipsch horns.

Never had a speaker system sound this good new from the box. Using for classical and acoustic jazz in 13' X 19' room. Sound quality excellent with small SET amp using 6BQ5 output tube/per channel. With speakers like this I would NEVER go back to the large amps. Speakers are much less intrusive (visually) than the common and less efficient tower systems.DEALERS SERVICE WAS FIRST CLASS!

The speakers are very clear. Even my tin ears can appreciate the difference. To make them sound even better I removed the angle base on the bottom of the speaker and placed them on 18 inch end tables. Found some metal end tables at Home Depot for $50 each. I also Bi-amped the speakers to a 11 channel Denon receiver (140 watts per channel). In stereo mode only the Heresy IVs and sub woofers are enabled. I feel the base is a little weak at low volumes and missing low frequencies. This is a weak argument because I don't play it as loud as others would. Most of the time the speakers are in a 7.1 mode and the other speakers in the system will rob the Heresy's. That's because no other speaker can be as efficient. I will probably add a pair or 15" sub woofers in the future, but I'm still waiting to break them in before I make that decision. They sound better everyday and I'm not positive I have my receiver and speakers calibrated perfectly. I have used the software that came with the receiver to automatically calibrate, but when I put it in stereo mode and play straight through it sounds much better. I think the solution is to calibrate it again with just the stereo speakers. I have four save modes (setups) I should use them. I would buy them again. One bad/good? thing is I can really notice the difference in sound sources. What use to be acceptable is now sub par when compared to a Hi Fidelity source. I have a 1.2 Meg bitrate sample of Led Zeppelin II album. Play that loud and John Paul Jones will kick you in the chest. So there is base to be found.
