Bought this for my wife so that when we go night fishing or camping she has a lightweight, and bright light to utilize. Little did I know, it would come in handy for sooo many things. The magnet is very solid and the light recharges quickly. Nice and durable and doesn't feel like it will break easily. Love the small and lightweight form factor as well. Easier for her to put in her pockets.

This torch was one of the best accepted Christmas gifts I've presented over decades. I purchased (2). Medium small dimensional with very good lumination. It clips flat into any pocket without any bulge or poke.It offers useful features UI and is not a cheap Asian import. It is IPX rated and High impact durable. Perfect for power outages to walking pets.I am buying more for December! This is a "No excuse" EDC !!!!

At first, I wasn't sure I would keep it. But this little light has really grown on me. Super short charge time. Super long run time.If you need a light with a powerful beam to focus in on a person or object, this isn't it.It is purely a flood. It is super versatile, clip to a hat, hang on a front pocket, hold in your mouth, or stick to a metal surface. Take this thing everywhere you go. Super compact. I just ordered another! Highly recommend.

I like that it’s USB-C rechargeable and the size is great for small tasks. The clip works well for attaching it to a hat as a headlamp. But, the power button and charging port are on opposite sides and feel identical, so I’m constantly pressing the wrong one when I need to turn it on. The battery life could be better, and there’s no low battery warning, so it tends to die on me at inconvenient times. Decent light, just wish the design was a bit more user-friendly.

I just got my hands on the Klarus E5 Rechargeable Work Light, and wow, this thing is incredible! I can't get over how bright it is—470 lumens in such a slim and compact design is seriously impressive. This isn't just any flashlight; it's got 8 different modes, so it's ready for whatever you throw at it.The slim, flat design makes it perfect to carry around in my pocket without feeling bulky, and the built-in clip and magnet are total game-changers. I can attach it anywhere and keep my hands free, which is perfect for when I'm working on projects. And the best part? It’s rechargeable! No more scrambling for batteries at the worst possible times.Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. If you need a versatile, powerful work light, the Klarus E5 is where it’s at. It’s bright, it’s practical, and it’s quickly becoming my go-to for everything from DIY projects to just having a reliable light source on hand. Highly recommend!

I drive a school bus and I need a light and dependable flashlight to do my D.O.T. mandated inspection. I clip this on a neck lanyard and leave it there while driving. The floodlight feature comes into play for walking in the dark to my bus at 5:30 AM. The beam feature is for under chassis and engine inspection. It easily gets me through the workweek and gets recharged on the weekends. Inexpensive, dependable and handy to carry…what’s not to like?

I have several small EDC flashlights including a Streamlight Microstream, a Lumintop AA Tool 2.0, and my favorite is the Wurkkos TS10. Each have pros and cons, which is why I keep experimenting. This Klarus e5 is different in that it has a slim and flat profile rather than a AA or AAA battery tube design and it has a perpendicular or 90-degree light rather than inline. It does have an inline light as well, though it's a bit of an afterthought. The main light is the round one while the inline light at the top end is of rather limited use. Had it been lensed to offer a spotlight design with decent throw, it would have a purpose, but it doesn't - it's just another floodlight like the main lamp, but with less lumens and only offering a high and low setting. So, it really is quite pointless unless. The main round floodlight is pretty decent, offering just under 300 lumens on high. To get 470 lumens, you have to turn on turbo mode, which is a separate set of clicks (it doesn't cycle to that setting from low, medium, or high). All my tube flashlights will outperform the Klarus in terms of throw as they are spotlight designs, so when I need more power I'll grab the TS10.PROS:The main feature of this unit is the slim design. Simply put, I can slip it in a pocket and not know it's there... Except for the inch or so the top sticks up out the top. Deep carry is what I prefer, so I removed the stock pocket clip (3 small screws, not rivets thankfully) and repurposed an extra Microstream cip I had laying around by bending it to shape (see pics). That made this Klarus much less conspicuous and fashion friendly. The aluminum construction and anodizing is nice and overall it feels light, but not cheap. The magnetic tail is super handy and a feature lacking on most of my tube flashlights.CONS:Deep carry issues aside, the button placement is less than ideal due to being directly opposite of the charge port, which feels nearly identical. So you may have to look at the orientation of the light or press the rubber charge port cover before flipping it around to find the actual button. When pulled from a pocket, you'll remember the orientation and this is less of an issue, but it's still a poorly-thought-through design choice. The inline lamp needed to be a spotlight to be useful as I said before. So that is redundancy rather than a real feature. If it had a 470 lumen spotlight and a deep carry pocket clip, this would be an easy 5-star flashlight. But as is, it's a good 4-star unit and it's different enough than my others that it offers some benefit. However, the TS10 can be had for the same price (off Wurkkos' website) and it is a much more feature-packed light with twice as many lumens and way more features and settings.CONCLUSION:That said, the e5 is currently my main EDC simply due to the slim, flat design. The TS10 and other AA-sized tube flashlights are thick enough to feel in my pocket, which is fine when I'm working, but annoying for casual wear. So, the Klarus e5 is a nice addition to the family.
