Buy large enough D-rings if installing more than one of these on the ring because the J-hooks are large. Also, the hooks could stand to be bent closer together, in my opinion anyways. Lastly, the strap with the ratchet on it is quite long which renders using it useless when tying down short distances vertically.

These ratchet straps are obviously super tough. This set includes four straps. Each strap is wrapped nicely in plastic for delivery. The straps are made of thick and wide nylon material. All the metal parts are galvanized for long service life. I used them to transport a lawnmower for eighty miles without any issues.

- These are an excellent strap, the webbing is good quality and the stitching is properly over stitched with what appears to be a tex 200 poly thread.- The ratchet mechanism is very solid and not flimsy at all, since the ratchet is the week leak in all ratchet straps I was concerned about the quality. Upon looking at it I am very sure this will last for years. Or until one of my kids borrows it and does not bring it back.- Note that these are very heavy duty straps and as such the hooks are very robust and you should consider if they will work for you. I included a picture of the hook engages in the tie down point under my RZR 800 for a size comparison.

CONS: J-HookPROS: Smooth ratchet.Additional Thoughts: I use these length of straps to hold down large trash cans on my trailer. These J-hooks don't fit inside my stake pockets so I'm not able to go through and hook on top of the pocket. It is more difficult for one person to use this style which needs to hook on the bottom of the pocket. The strap itself is very soft and pliable. The ratchet action was smooth and easy to cause the required strap tension.LovingTheRetiredLife

In my past life, I was experienced in military mobility operations. So, few will appreciate a good set of ratchet straps as much as I do. I've bought many straps in the past for various reasons. However, the best quality sets didn't seem to be worth the money, so I always opted for the cheaper ones and prayed I'd never end up on the side of the road, running down the highway to retrieve my goods, only to see it busted up by a semi. Then, trying to hide my face and get out of there so I could escape paying damages. Fortunately, that never happened, and I feel more comfortable with the KJE Ratchet Straps.The straps are well made, with solid hardware and strong nylon straps. I wouldn't be afraid to use these straps for an airdrop—that is how certain I am of their quality. I would like to meet the person who can get all four sets of straps in that bag because I can only get three. But that's okay. I'll probably lose the bag within the year anyway.I'd recommend these straps to anyone who needs to haul. I'd strap my Grandma-in-law on top of the car with them!
