My hubby and I love this wok. But we need a lid. I wish this wok came with its own lid as a set.

I got this, since I've gone through several different versions of Non-stick over the years. Ceramic, Black interior non-stick and now the Hexagon. Enough. I wanted a high sided stainless steel pan or carbon pan that I could use as a all/everything pan. I feel this is the perfect pan. I need to re-work and learn to find tips and tricks working with this. I know to pre-heat the pan, till I get the bead of water to roll across the surface. Fun to watch in this pan. This is also induction friendly. No buzzing. To work with this pan,I also got this lid, which I really like."Walfos Universal Lid for Pots, Pans and Skillets - Tempered Glass with Heat Resistant Silicone Rim, Fits 13", 14" and 15". fits perfect." Allows me to see inside the pan. I can steam cook at low temp. For a spatula, this works well with the curve of the pan:Wok Spatula Stainless Steel, Wide Metal Spatula with Hollow Long Handle Wok Utensils,Silver/14.7Inch.I still have cast-iron, but I prefer Stainless for chicken, sauteing. The cast iron for me is other slow cook methods. I have a high sided Carbon Steel, use to sear steaks prepped while doing Suave.I can strongly recommend this pan. Look at You Tube cooking channels that show you how to cook with Stainless Steel. I want to stop throwing away pans. I remember my grandmother had cast-iron, that was in the family for years. People thought at the time those new fangled Non-stick were great. Boy were we wrong. DuPont, shame on you. Other companies pushing these non-stick what a waste to the environment.

This is exactly what i was looking in 5 ply stainless steel, 15 inch wok! It's perfect and as expected. Quality is great and will last for years. It's spreading heat evenly. Since it's stainless steel so it's very easy to clean with hands or in dishwasher.

I love that I can make a large quantity of food and it all cooks evenly. The quality of the stainless steel is great. Cleans relatively easily.

This is a very beautiful wok. It distributes the heat very evenly and cleans up well. Like it so much I am ordering a second one! I just wish it had come with a cover lid.

Nice sturdy wok. Would have been nice to have a lid available for it. Large enough to cook for a family. Would suggest you also purchase an element ring at the same time.

Nice size, very practical, easy to clean, good quality. At least I feel safe knowing that there is no Teflon/PTFE to poison me while I cook my steaks on high heat!

This Kitchen-Aid wok doubles as a stir-fry wok and as a non-stick frying pan. The inside of the wok is brushed in a circular pattern which cause air to be trapped between the pan and the oil for frying eggs making the eggs not to stick to the pan. Because the wok heats up quickly, I can fry eggs without any of the egg white turning brown and I feel confident that I do not get any of the toxic ingredients from non-stick pans which are usually coated with Teflon and is a health and environmental hazard as Teflon does not degrade when non-stick pans are disposed of. The outside of the wok is polished on the top but brushed at the bottom which is a good design thought by Kitchen-Aid as I can maintain this wok to always look new. I use silicone spatulas when frying eggs so I don't damage the circular brushed linings on the inside of the wok so that I can always use this wok as a non-stick pan for frying eggs. I will edit this review by submitting a photo of the work together with the round Le Creuset polished stainless steel cover I bought many years ago and have only used it now with this Kitchen-Aid 15-inch wok.

KitchenAid makes some of the best kitchen appliances in the world - mixers, grinders, and the lot. Who knew that KitchenAid would make one of the best woks on the market? Without doubt this is one of the best woks I have used and I have used several from all over the world, including authentic ones from some Asian countries. But this KitchenAid wok, in my experience beats the rest for quality, build, weight, handling and cooking experience. And it may not seem like much, but the actual curvature of the wok is so perfect when cooking that it takes very little effort to stir fry, make fried rice or may other dishes.Only suggestion, if I may, is have some experience with burner control before using this excellent wok, as the heat is being transferred to the ingredients in a fast cook process, medium to high heat. Not a slow cooking process on low heat. One thing that would make this wok even better is if it came in a set of one or two smaller sizes, along with this large one.The wok I received was made in Thailand. First product from Thailand KitchenAid and extremely happy with quality, finish, weight and handling.Strongly recommend purchasing through Amazon, if not buying directly from KitchenAid. Amazon without doubt is the best online buying experience, for peace of mind and excellent customer service, if there are any issues with your orders.

I've been using a cheaper, non-stick type wok with a flat bottom. This Kitchen Aid 15 inch wok is MUCH better! The 5 layer construction with the aluminum core is deceptively heavy and heats evenly all the way up the sides. The wok is beautiful to look at...the outside looks like a mirror. When I first got it, after washing, I heated it slowly and applied some cooking oil with a paper towel, letting cool slowly. First time I used it, I made fried rice and had some issues with the egg getting cooked onto the surface. It cleaned up but I had to use soap & water to get it cleaned. I continued warming the wok and lightly oiling it after each use. Each time I've used it (and re-seasoned it), it seems to have less problems with sticking and the cleanup is easier. Last use, I made a sticky beef recipe. I was able to clean it this time with just spraying it with hot tap water, wiping it dry with at towel and heating/re-oiling the pan. I also bought a "Lodge" brand 15" glass lid and it works perfectly on the wok! The price is about equal to a high end, carbon steel wok but without all of the hassles and seasoning issues. I can't say enough good things about it! Hard to beat Kitchen-Aid products. Would highly recommend to anyone!
