This tool used to clean my stove was perfect! It allowed me to scrape hard to remove buildup on stove. Using the brush aggressively causes the brittle part to look very worn, but it still works!UPDATE: I accidentally left a pot on the stove and I used this to scrape the inside and the bottom. Not scraping the paint off, just cleaning and removing hard burn stains. Wow! I really was impressed! I'll definitely be buying this item again!

Okay, this definitely worked on scrubbing down our gas range. However, I noticed that if you put to much pressure on the metal bristles, they do start to fray or spread like a toothbrush that you've used a lot of times. Also, I poked myself with the metal bristles a few times when I was trying to get to hard to reach places so just be weary of that. Otherwise, it's a good buy. It works, just don't know how long it will last (metal bristles) with regards to keeping its shape.
