Be careful when putting the garden hose on your cooler. If you move the connection when hooking water hose up it will twist the float on the inside of the unit and break the float. This fixed it and we are cool again

We bought the piece cuz we had the swamp cooler and that was the piece that was going out. It was easy to install and it has not had an issue since.

I bought two of these floats for my both of my Hessaire portable evaporative coolers model MC37-V and MC37-M. The floats are shorter and smaller than the original floats but installed just fine. These floats seemed to work ok for a couple of weeks, I noticed that the water levels fluctuated but never overflowed, until now, 1 day before the return window closes. When left unattended overnight, these floats have produced lagoons around the coolers. The whole idea of a float is to prevent the overflow of water. These items do not perform as floats. Unless you want to flood irrigate the area around your cooler, do not buy these floats. They may work for other Hessaire coolers, but didn't work for mine, even though these are advertised to work with my Hessaire cooler models.

the threads were cracked so all it did was leak water everywhere on the ground.

What was pictured was not what I received. The description said it fit my model Hessaire evaporator cooler but it was slightly different than the original. Had to purchase from a Hessaire dealer.
