Perfect so far for an Eljer toilet. Once the old pieces were off the tank, this new kit was easy to install and fixed my leaking issues. No instructions were given so I had to guess a bit. I put the bolts with one rubber washer inside the tank; then a metal washer and the first nut outside the tank up against the gasket; and then the second rubber washer, second metal washer, and second nut under the toilet after the tank was mounted in place. I hope that was correct. There is no leaking anyhow.

I had a my tank leaking from the original gasket. I purchased this gasket set and installed and no more leaks. Great item at a great value.

Like many mentioned, the universal gasket sets from HD and Lowes cause the tank to wobble. This set fits perfectly and my tank no longer wobbles. All the hardware was included. It's been a week and no leaks. The included washers fit good but I added larger (wider) washers (2x) for the bolts that attach the tank to the bowl. Personal preference only.

Quality product exact fit for Eljer toilet. Don’t waste time with universal kits that won’t fit this particular unit. Material is silicon and will most likely outlast the standard black rubber.

I installed this in my Eljer 2197 toilet (made in 1989), using tank to bowl assembly instructions for Eljer 2502. The seal gave a good solid mount on the bowl, and no leaks when flushed. When I started to pull the seal on over the spud nut, at first the bolt holes in the arms on the seal did not line up with the holes in the tank bottom, but as I continued to tug on the seal to get it fully seated all the way around, the holes eventually lined up perfectly. The rubber washers gave a good seal. I reused my old brass bolts because they had a larger diameter head than the included bolts, though the included ones might have worked OK. And I used my old brass washers and wingnuts at bottom instead of the included hex nuts, because I wanted hand-tight to be enforced. I found that getting the bolts in was tricky because of tight clearance to the canister in my tank. I had to put each of the two rubber washers on the bottom of the tank, then put the bolt through it, then screw the bolt through the tight hole in the arm on the seal. This resulted in a nice assembly of the tank plus seal plus rubber washers and bolts, which I could then seat on the bowl and tighten down with washers and wingnuts.
