It gets the job done! Great quality. I use it a few times a week. Can not beat the price!

Bought this for doing my brakes. It has nice features and works very well. Good price. If you don't abuse it, like I know some guys will, it should last a long time. I use it only for running longer bolts in and out, NOT for tightening to final torque or for break-torque when removing. I doubt it would last if you did that and I believe that is the source of the broken ratchet heads I see in the reviews.

I bought this Kimo cordless ratchet in May, 2021; roughly 8 months ago at the time of writing this review. Initially, I thought the tool was a good purchase. It seemed to work well enough. Battery life is good. Charger works great. Torque is roughly as advertised. The ratchet head though, would tend to randomly dislocate internally and the socket stops spinning while the motor continues to spin. With some fidgeting, I was always able to get it to resume spinning. After just a few months of light use, the tool stopped working entirely. It seemed to be an electrical issue this time as it was non responsive to trigger input and the led battery life indicator stopped working. The tool was dead in the water and I was out of the Amazon return window. So I tried contacting Kimo directly. I sent several emails over the course of a month that never got any response. I then contacted Amazon customer support who intern was able to get a response from Kimo. They sent me a replacement tool shipped from China, which arrived about a month after Amazon's contact. The tool was in a small cardboard box without any internal packaging whatsoever. The box was destroyed. I wish I had taken a photo. There was a hole in it that I couldn't believe the tool hadn't fallen out of. Anyhow, the new tool worked out of the box. However, the ratchet head issue was still there. Over the last couple of months of use, the ratchet head continues to dislocate. Again, with some fidgeting I have been able to get it to resume working every time. Today, I tried using the tool and again the head is dislocated. I've tried now for about a half an hour unsuccessfully to get the socket spinning again. Unfortunately as far as I'm concerned, this tool is garbage. I really have no idea how they have so many positive reviews for this item. This is clearly, a very poorly manufactured tool. So I'm out a hundred bucks. Charger, two batteries, bag.. I was really hopeful this thing would work out. Save yourself a lot of hassle, bite the bullet and buy a tool with a quality name (and warranty) behind it. Amazon won't allow reviews without any stars. As far as I'm concerned, if the tool doesn't continue to work for at LEAST a year, it should get no stars. I hate to write a bad review like this. But this experience has just been a real bummer and a lot of hassle.

Dont contact Scott garth as he's a dirty a hole and will hang up on you thus making you hate the brand. I got my new one, the original has a metal switch, the new one has plastic so they did change somethings about it. But it's working as intended. The replacement parts are still listed if need be as my original is repaired by myself. So I have this one, the new onez and the shorter one all three now. Love the ratchets.those who are wishing they could but arent able to simply fix there wrench bc kimo doesnt like to be responsive very quickly or at all, i found a 17.00 replacement part that 100% works (ac delco) so here goes the link if amazon will allow it. google 3/8" Ratchet Head Replacement Repair Kit RS99W0108 and find "durofix" the ones on here are WAY more money. or from what i seen. and Milwaukee uses the same head style. so your choice on where to buy. but it can be fixed for cheap! and im guessing the Milwaukee sets probably better built couldnt tell ya honestly. hopefully either amazon will allow this to go thru, or kimo will speak up and give a oe site that we can buy these from. shipping just this kit would be WAY cheaper than return shipping, new tool, then again shipping it back.UPDATE may 16th 2022 not long after starting a real mechanics career for a local shop i used the ratchet for a few more things and well she gave up. the pin inside sheered off and its locked up. i figured id try removing and replacing with a homeade keyway but nope. once it breaks all the bearings (like 3 of them) fall out and its a wrap. will buy one more time as i have two batteries as is. this time ill go with amazon and see if customer service is as was it should be. (do note i put this little thing thru its paces it will handle 100ft of sheer break away torque (by hand) before you have to deal with returns etc)Have done lower control arms, coilovers, muffler brackets, brakes, loads and LOADS of work this thing granted I had to re purchase elsewhere. I still felt the need to leave a review. It's almost like mine doesn't spin like I can hold the head while the trigger is pulled so it may be defective. But none the less I can use it for reverse torque and forward. (FYI) none of the reviewers vids showing this tool breaking lug nuts, brake caliper bolts etc are telling you that THEY ALREADY broke these loose. Granted it will (using the ratchet only not power but ugga dugga man power) break loose 80-110ft lbs of force. Will also tighten as such I'd say too. Have dropped the shiz outa mine as well and broke a clip on one battery but it still holds.Battery life is AMAZING two batteries last a dang good while.I won't be making a video as I wasn't offered the buffer/polisher, but I'd for sure buy again for 89.99 (20.00 cupon at this time and still going on). Have no other to compare this too but it has done me a far bit of work. We shall see it's real test come rear subframe tear out of my bmw e46 and re install time. (The rubber is coming off and it's pretty black now as I use this alot per stated LOADS of work done above.) So if your looking for one GET IT. I may purchase another and see if the one I obtained elsewhere (is kimo brand same model as this) is defective. Other than that one thing however it does break loose 35lb no issue. *I don't have a digital torque wrench. Only a harbor freight special at this time so who knows if it's really 80lbs.

This makes any wrenching project so much easier, wish I had got one sooner.I was looking for an electric ratchet after my friend got one and said how much he loved it, but I didn’t want to spend the big money on the bigger brands so found the kimo brand online. The Kimo ratchet has all of the same features as the more expensive ratchets with a much more reasonable price tag. I’ve been loving it so far.It’s first day on the job was removing a motor from a car and now it’s become an essential tool for me to have when working on the cars.Pros:- Speeds up work and saves time. So much quicker than doing everything with a hand ratchet.- All of the same features as big Brand tools- durability: I’ve already dropped it several times and gotten plenty of grease and grime on it and it’s held up well.- PriceCons:- won’t fit everywhere a hand ratchet will, this seems to be with all electric ratchets though.Additional comments:Some bolts are on pretty tight that the ratchet couldn’t break free but you can use the tool as a regular hand ratchet to free tough bolts.Battery life has been fine, No real testing has been done but it’s lasted a full day work and charges fast.
