About this item

  • Perfect Fitment: Friction fit killflash ARD tightly fits on the end of an EOTech 512 / 552 optic. This will require some force to install.
  • Reduces Glare: The killflash reduces glare / reflections from the glass on the objective end of scopes. Due to needing to print with the front of the killflash on the print bed, there may be some shine to it which can be minimized by sanding or spray painting it.
  • Target Focus Approach: Like with any other 3D-printed killflashes, the hex / honeycomb pattern will be somewhat visible, though it's less noticeable magnified. To minimize visual disruption from the killflash, it is highly recommended to shoot with both eyes open and focused on the target - the recommended way to use red dots / holographic sights.
  • PETG-CF Material: Carbon Fiber reinforced PETG filment is used to create this product to ensure it withstands higher temperatures than other filaments, such as PLA/PLA+.
  • Original Design: 1900+ products designed and 3D printed in the heart of America in St Louis, Missouri by Hammy3DPrints.

The killflash seems to function very well. I also could not see any light from the front of the unit in the dark with it installed, and it pops firmly into place. However: Note that this killflash mounts between the protective aluminum hood and the optic itself, connecting the two at the top. This means if you drop the system on the optic, the hood will no longer absorb as much force, and the killflash will transfer the force directly from the hood to the more fragile interior optic itself.

It fits my 512 snugly. I enjoyed eating the included cherry Starburst during the 2 second install. Well done.

My review is on the fact yeah it works for what is ment for to kill reflection. However !! For the 512 it is stated for it dosnt really snap in like it says it would and hold in place . Once it goes it it stays in only because if you tilt your optic forward the killflash will stop on the lever hinge that is holding the battery. Still a okay product . But that’s the only problem I had with it not actully staying completely locked in

The kill flash product has a great fit and finish. It fit perfectly into my EOTech 512, and I don't see any issues with it working loose. When looking through the optic you can see a bit of the honeycomb pattern which is normal for a kill flash device, but the dot was perfectly in the middle of the center hex. After flipping over the three-power magnifier, I was surprised that I didn’t notice the hex pattern at all. As the owner said you should be shooting this type of optic with both eyes open, so it really isn’t an issue. My order came with a business card, sticker, and a piece of candy. Nice touch from a small business owner. I would highly recommend this product.

Kudos to the guy who 3D prints these he or she does a great job. Fits very snug in my eotech 512 and doesn’t rattle around whatsoever. When looking through the optic you can’t even tell that the device is attached so it doesn’t obstruct sight. Not sure about the other review that claims it rattles around in his 512, maybe he got a previous model that has since been perfected. These is the brown/FDE color.
