My almost 3 year old grandson likes to play with some of my small pieces of family silver--creamers, small teapots, a dinner bell. I want to encourage him to play with water--pouring and stirring. So I ordered this little tea set. It's a winner! The plastic is sturdy, non-toxic, and dishwasher safe. He likes the bright primary colors and is learning their names. No sharp edges, nothing flimsy.

The pieces are made of a hard, durable plastic, just the right thickness and not breakable if dropped. The set is very colourful and kids love playing with it.

Bought this tea set for my little man and he absolutely loves it. Its a great colour, as his older sister knows it’s not hers. Its great that I can put it in the dishwasher. The box it comes in is ridiculously too big... but the product is good quality and works well for girls and boys.

This is a very sturdy and colorful set with good-sized plates, bowls, and utensils. They are used daily by three year old twins to serve “lunch” (what they call all meals), using the plastic foods from their Learning Resources sets. Both have also used pieces from the set to eat actual food, especially at breakfast time. The drying rack it comes with makes a handy storage container in their play kitchen and makes it easy for them to clean up when they close their restaurant for the day. I’m very impressed with the quality of this product—I expect it will hold up well for a long time, even with some mild abuse (the bowls sometimes do double-duty as hats and the plates pretty routinely wind up the floor). It’s definitely worth the money and would make a great gift for kids in many age groups. The girls’ six year old cousin loves to play with these dishes, too, and heads straight for them when she comes to visit. Highly recommend!

I bought this as a gift for my two-year-old grandson, who is heavily into giving tea parties at the moment (before this, with a china a teapot. He has very trusting parents!). He was delighted with it, and it is prefect for a small child. Brightly coloured, virtually unbreakable, and just the right size for small hands, it ticks all the boxes, especially at such a reasonable price. Pretty china tea serviices are very nice, but they are much more expensive to buy, and easily chipped or broken. This one will last until he outgrows it. HIghly recommended.

I bought this tea set for my grandson and granddaughter on my last visit with them. My grandson is 2 1/2 and his younger sister 14 montha. From the moment we opened the box together this became their favorite toy. I had noticed that when they played together they were using plastic cups and my Grandson had talked about ' tea parties ' a great deal. So,that's why I decided to buy this bright cheerful tea set. It has provided literally hours of entertainment in the day and they even to take it in the bath at night and play with. The grandchildren like to take their soft toys out the deck if its sunny and line them up on a bench or sit them down on chairs around the table to a tea party. My grandson practices asking people if they would care for a cup of tea , using please ,thank you etc learning good manners along the way. This is a great toy for toddlers and. young children to enjoy as they learn to carefully pour liquid from the teapot Into a cup then carry from table to chair without spilling. Theyre learning just how much to fill a cup without overfilling it and then how to balance the cup without spilling. So,the tea set is giving toddlers and young children hours of learning and fun at the same time . The tea set is bright with cheerful colors and seems to be well-made. I'm sure that my grandson and granddaughter will get a lot of years fun and use out of it. Excellent value !

Using the regular glass espresso mugs is a real problem with fibromyalgia. I had tried before to find a nice plastic espresso set and there are some available. But, they are not safe to use, especially in that they are being used w/ a warm or hot liquid. All the plastic sets I found, were made of Polystyrene plastic! That type of plastic is one of the worst for safety and leaching. So I got creative and searched for "childrens' tea set". There were quite a few and none of them were made out of one of the better plastics. I prefer #5 PP, as most the articles I have read say it's the safest [not perfect] plastic, especially where hot liquids are concerned. It was shocking that many of the sets for kids were again Polystyrene. And you have to know that kids want to play and fill them w/ hot water and put them in their mouth and chew on them. A lot of the sets were also Barbie princess pink designs or the like. Not something an adult would want to be using day to day, nor would a little boy be too thrilled w/ that either.I was happy to find that this set was made of #5 PP plastic. The colors are cheery and mix in well w/ the bright color dish scheme that is so popular today. As these were for use as an espresso set, I ended up giving the teapot, sugar and creme stuff to a friend whose 2 young boys enjoy playing with and with no worry of toxic plastic. As for an espresso set they work great! The cups are a smidge smaller than the ones at the barista, but still the right size to work. No holes or leaky seams and no melting. The spoons are slightly smaller than the standard espresso spoons, as shown in the picture. The saucers also work nice with the plastic cups that came w/ the plastic GSI dish set, as shown in the picture. The only down side is that the little bit of size lost in the cup means that, it has to be held up under the espresso stream of the machine, to keep it from splashing over the side. That is well worth it, as these cups are easy to hold on the worst days, easy to hand wash and do not have to worry about breakage or injury from a mishap, as with the heavy ceramic ones. So these are just great for disabled and great for kids.
