This colorful microscope is of nice quality and perfect for kids.It features 3 levels of magnification: 100X, 400X, and 1200X, along with a projection function and a built-in LED light. Children who are passionate about science will truly appreciate this microscope.Additionally, these binoculars make a great gift option for kids and come with a strap and a carrying bag.I am planning to save this microscope as a Christmas gift for one of my nephews. At USD $49.99 (at the time of this review), this product offers excellent value for all it provides.Thank you for reading my review! I love that this microscope is perfect for toddlers and beginners. The only issue I have with this is that the directions are not clear. Having used microscopes in labs plenty of times before, I found this microscope to be a little complicated to set up and navigate. The projector is easy enough to get set up, but the microscope itself I can’t get to focus clearly. I am going to keep trying because this is an amazing tool to use for little ones that are curious and just starting out in science. I still have this product five stars even with the unclear directions but it very well could just be me overthinking the product itself. I’m going to keep trying and if I get it figured out I will definitely update my review.Update: It was definitely me. I was the problem! This microscope works amazingly. I can’t wait to show my toddler how to use it and what he can see!

I think this is a great starter microscope for little kids to get interested in science, but for older kids, I think it’s a bit too toy-like. My son is very young, so I think this is perfect for him though. The colors are bright and give definite Buzz Lightyear vibes. The microscope comes with a bunch of accessories like slides, tweezers, batteries, and projector reels. While the microscope and projector are both functional, it comes with very few instructions beyond basically a parts list and some warnings. I would have liked clearer directions on getting started and using it properly as we just had to figure it out ourselves and hope we’re doing it right. Overall, it’s cute, but if your child is really into science, maybe spring for something that’s a little less of a toy.

It comes just a bunch of random parts rolling about in a plain brown box, & there was no instructions manual or any directions. Not even a parts list so we know what all the different pieces were for or what to do with them.Instructions would be nice. We've been struggling to figure out the different uses for this thing because I have no knowledge of anything science & so far the 8 yr.old neighbor girls dont know much about microscopes either.

The kids and I were very excited for the microscope which overall is nice but could use a few improvements in my opinion. First, more slides and actually slide covers would have been nice. It comes with 2 of each, plus one premounted with what appears to be plant cells. The max magnification, at 1200, is extremely high. To see anything at this magnification, we would need better slide covers. As is, the cover is not completely flat and flush against the slide so the depth needs to be adjusted constantly to see different areas of the slide. The minimum magnification would be better at 40 or even 10. The higher numbers in this csse do not equal better, especially for kids who would be delighted to see insect parts or sand or plant cells. That said, there are several pre-made projection slides on a disk that show insect parts, plant parts, etc. Those images are clear and in focus, projected with a secondary light onto the wall.

This is a great microscope for kids. I got this to use in our homeschool, and or works wonderfully. My kids are really enjoying looking at specimens they find around the yard. ( bugs, leaves, flower petals, even spit. )The kit comes with everything you need to truly learn and explore.Great value for the price.I think every homeschool needs one of these.

This is a great beginner microscope that makes science fun. The magnification is solid (100x, 400x, 1200x), and the built-in light helps a lot. The projector feature is a cool bonus — my kid loved showing off what he found. Comes with everything you need to get started, plus a case and some fun stickers. It’s easy to use, portable, and keeps kids curious. Definitely a win for young science lovers.

Okay so did anyone else immediately think of buzz light year? This would’ve super fun for a kiddo who is heavily into Toy Story for that reason alone! First impression: it’s smaller than I anticipated, and honestly felt a little gimmick-y. BUT. This is very cool, the slider projector reminds me of an old view finder. The 4 slides each have two main focus, plants and bugs. It goes through the different parts of the flowers and the bugs (i.e. ant, head, feet, pinchers, mouth) it has one practice slide and two blank ones, which is super fun to tune into and see the image! The collection cups and tools (plastic) will be so fun to explore for our home schooling, I’m excited to see how this is received by my 6 year old and who knows, maybe one day we’ll upgrade to a high tech one. All in all, this thing is really fun to explore and encourage scientific kiddos!
