When i purchased the simple key key fobik programmer ,it attached these key fob with the purchase, but these are not compatible with the programmer or with my vehicle. Be careful when purchasing these key fob. Make sure they're compatible with your vehicle and the programmer tool your using .

Quality product. I got these for a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. Only took a couple minutes to program both.Programming note: I used an Autel scanner to program these. In order to program these you need a PIN code that is assigned to that vehicle. To get that PIN code you need to go to the dealership and request the number. They will have to verify that you own the vehicle, so bring in your registration and drivers license. This should be FREE.

Took to locksmith to get programmed. He programmed both but then informed me the keys were not “proximity” keys. So all 3 buttons lock unlock panic work. I can start jeep. I can unlock and lock my jeep. I was charged $90 to program the two keys. I am happy. Way better than $400 at dealership. What doesn’t work- push to start, the automatic door unlock when it senses the key is in close proximity. Apparently there are “proximity” keys out there. Keep in mind this is not one.

1 year in: key 1/2 has lost signal, battery is good. buttons are inop; and 2/2 still going strong w/ no issues. these FOBIKS are decent for their price; programming by dealer is guaranteed : aftermarket programming like 50/50, just in my experience..

Great product! The locksmith had both fobs working in minutes for about $40 each, including the cost of the fobs, her labor and tax. I bought these because one of my 2012 Ram 1500 keys would still start the truck but would not open the doors even though the fob battery was new. She explained that the fobs have two chips, and the one for opening the doors was simply worn out. The aftermarket fob I'd bought previously lasted five years and cost about the same. I'll accept the inconvenience of buying a new aftermarket fob once every five years to save the cost of buying one at a dealership, probably a minimum of $500.

Just what I needed. Although, I could not get it programed myself. Had to go to local keyshop to have that done. Was 1/2 price of dealer price even with programming fee.

These keys work great good quality. My original key would start the truck but wouldn't lock or unlock and no keyless start. So got these Had my local locksmith come over and did his thing programing my keys for $75 bucks compared to the dealer wanted $175 for one freaking key. So I couldn't be happier & we will see how long they last.
