A nightmare to put together and attach to an already-completed desk that I could not flip upside down. The thickness of the tray coupled with the brackets included that are supposed to make it adjustable is defunct. You cannot adjust it the full 4 hole locations, only 2 and one of the 2 holes makes the tray very tight against the desk underside. This needs bigger brackets for adjusting and longer screws for attaching the brackets to the tray.

Four stars. This underdesk keyboard holds my standard sized keyboard well. See attached photo.Installation was straightforward and I recommend making four pilot drill holes on the underside of the desk so that screwing in the four support brackets will be easier. Just make sure every angle is square to ensure that the keyboard will slide smoothly. And it is smooth. The keyboard tray is plastic and you will be using metal screws in plastic so do not over tighten. Also, because the tray is plastic I do not recommend you lean your weight into it or it will probaby fracture where the metal screws attach to the plastic.I like this product and I like that the Kensington company has been around a long time.

I'm a big fan of keyboard trays. For my current desk, I only had a 22 inch space to install the tray. When this tray arrived, I realized that - using the standard installation - it would not fit. But I was able to modify the installation in order to make it work (see photos to get an idea). If works great, and I have no issues with it at all.Just note that if you want to place a full-size keyboard and mouse on your tray, then this product is not suitable for that.

Nothing fancy, ok for price. Works at my hobby desk. Main issue I had was the screws kept loosening at every junction. I put it on a very cheap desk and don't plan on moving it so I just put glue in the problem areas/screw holes so the screws would stop loosening and then it was fine. It was easy to put together besides the loose screw problem. Multiple people in the house hold tried tightening them because I thought it was just me but they would go from super tight to loose almost immediately no matter who tried that's when I got the glue.

Some people complained that this was cheap quality or that it was difficult to install, but it's clearly a plastic tray, so I don't know what they were expecting, especially for the bargain price. Also, I had no trouble installing since I was careful to measure and mark the holes for the brackets and I was smart enough to not make the mistake of installing any of the brackets backwards. Some people are just lazy and dumb.

decent design, hardware is flimsy, and the brackets need to be labeled left and right side because they are different...they fit either side, but they really need to have the longer sliding action forward. Otherwise, decent.

This keyboard tray is great. Good value, seems sturdy enough. It was VERY TRICKY to install. But I did manage to do it by myself in only one hour of frustration. The first half hour I wasted on perfectly straight measurements which got me a crooked keyboard tray that wouldn’t even pull out as a drawer. My second attempt (which seemed really crooked to me) worked out perfect. Here’s how I did it: Installation will go fine for you if you do three things: rip up the box and make yourself a template of where the screw holes should be, tape the drawer mechanism closed (temporarily) so there’s less movement when you install, and use an electric drill to pre-drill the holes (using the template) underneath your desk. You will be happy with your keyboard tray in the end. Good luck!

So while back I ordered this product because I need to do keyboard tray but then I was given a new desk so I did not need it I never open the box and kept it in a storage room I then proceeded to open the box for a second that's what I had about two months later and I could not even get it to install I had to manhandle it and modify just get it to work to install and when it was installed it was complete garbage that broke I even tested and I do not know how someone could ever type on this device. I recommend you spend more money and get a much better product.

I purchased one of these several years ago for a different desk, but it was the wider version. I have a different desk now and the tray that came with it broke. This tray works well; however, I'm not sure if it's the desk that doesn't have standard measurements or if it's the tray, but the holes didn't line up. Regardless, I was able to make new holes to make the tray work. This tray isn't as adjustable as the wide one I had and they are starting to use more plastic attachments rather than metal so I was a little disappointed to see that. Otherwise, it's a great little tray. I don't mind that it doesn't have room for the mouse. Two of the features I've loved in both the Kensington trays I've had are that they have a back lip so the keyboard doesn't ever slide off the back and the hole for the wires to go into on the back of the tray.
