About this item

  • Includes choice of Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless and wired connection options for maximum flexibility. Compatible with Bluetooth BT4.0/BT5.0. Features 2.4GHz wireless dongle (USB-A with USB-C to USB -A adapter) and 1.5m USB-C to USB-A charging cable (USB-C port on the trackball).
  • Rechargeable battery provides 4 months battery life with single charge via USB-C port
  • Low-profile shape allows all-day comfort for both right-handed and left-handed users. The trackball takes up less desk space than what is needed to operate a mouse and is more comfortable during extended use because it requires less arm and wrist movement.
  • Dual sensors accurately track the large 55mm ball, giving users better cursor control that requires less hand and wrist movement. Provides highly accurate and responsive cursor tracking and scrolling.
  • Simply plug in the USB cable to the trackball and users will be up and running quickly
  • Free downloadable KensingtonKonnect software provides an easy-to-configure personalized experience, giving users the ability to assign a wide variety of program functions to 8 sets of programmable buttons with KensingtonKonnect installed. *Windows ARM-based computers are currently not supported. Please check back for future updates on compatibility

Professional reviewers and ergonomists agree that finger-operated trackballs are superior to thumb-based trackballs when it comes to precision and hand comfort. At the same time, professional users prefer the convenience of wireless controllers. Kensington has responded with its most advanced trackball yet: the SlimBlade™ Pro Trackball. Now you can enjoy the precision and ease of a finger-operated trackball that includes Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless and wired capabilities, as well as unique dual-sensor ball-twist scrolling. All in a sleek design that saves valuable desk space and can be used with either hand. It’s the ultimate in accuracy, comfort, and control.

Comfortable to use over prolonged time and easy to use/set-up. On the expensive side but worth it so I can use a mouse without pain. Works with my iPad and Windows laptop.

This trackball is simply top notch, as far as I am concerned !Very comfortable to use, low profile, ball is so easy to spin and use, I love the way to scroll while spinning on its axis the wheel while my fingers turn around the base, switches are lovely, nice click, nice sound, nice feeling, glossy finish is nice to touch in the hand ...Bluetooth works great for me (better than my previous 2,4GHz dongles for my older trackballs).Everything on it has been well thought out and the result is an excellent product, well worth its price.Highly recommended (for trackball lovers) !

Update 03-03-25I have purchased several SlimBlade Pro trackballs now. My wife has switched to the Nulea trackball as she finds the ball placement more comfortable (the ball sits closer to the buttons). I prefer the SlimBlade, but I do have an issue with the balls. Two of the balls have a flaw (a small bubble in the plastic perhaps) a small cavity maybe 2mm in diameter that catches in the bearings. This is very annoying. I replaced one ball with a LYDD replacement. The LYDD ball is smooth with no flaws (yet, at least). I will probably buy another LYDD ball but I should not need to.---Update:One problem with the scroll wheel on the Expert is that design means stuff can get into the mechanism. My current Expert has a balky scroll. I decided to give the SlimBlade a second look. This one has a stable frame so that is good. The scroll on the Expert, when not gritty is better. I hope that the open bottom under the ball on the SlimBlade means that grit falls through and not into the trackball. The older ball from my Expert works better for me on the Slimlade, it is not so slick. Some people hate the scroll click, I do not mind it but it would be nice to have an option in KensingtonWorks. The lower profile of the SlimBlade is preferable for me. The buttons on the Expert are a little stiffer which I prefer. The built in battery on the SlimeBlade is a nice feature. It has been five days and I am comfortable with the little differences between the SlimBlade and the Expert. I think the scroll is slightly better on the Expert (so long as grit is not in the mechanism. Since the Expert can get gritty it is a toss-up with the SlimBlade giving a slightly less capable but more consistent feel. The clicky noise does not bother me like some others. The buttons are too soft, lots of miss-fires. But I like the lower profile a lot. You cannot make a lower profile for a 55mm ball. I also like the built in battery. The Expert was a battery eater. I will see how long the SlimBlade runs on a charge. I can run the SlimBlade on a cord if needed the Expert will not do this. With Expert, I would occasionally lose the point with the computer wakes up. This usually required a power cycle to fix. I have not seen this with the SlimBlade (this may be a function of the latest KensingtonWorks).---I have used an Expert wireless for years. But I never liked that high ball placement. I thought that I would give this a try. Well, the lower ball placement is great but the scroll is so-so. I live in NV which means dry, and a dry finger tends to slide on the ball rather than scroll the window. This is not a problem with normal tracking since I can get two or three fingers on the ball. The other annoying issue is that the frame in slightly twisted so the whole thing rocks (in a bad way). A 1mm shim solves this but for such a pricey device, this is not a reasonable solution. I returned it.

This slimblade feel exactly like the previous model, except it's wireless. I love this thing. It's very comfortable to use. There's maybe to things I think they should improve:1. It is a bit too click and to loud. I wish the buttons were a bit softer.2. I love that it's wireless but it's still not 100% portable. If you tilt it, the ball falls out. I wish there was a way to lock the ball in place so you can move the thing about without worrying about the ball falling out.9ther than that, this tracking ball is great, very responsive and easy to use.

As an owner of a much older, wired Kensington Slimblade trackball (the one with the little tab for magnetic attachment to the Slimblade keyboard), this is a major upgrade! I was hesitant at first, thinking "how much better can it be"? Well, I can say it is a LOT better. The trackball looks better, cleaner, and just looks more quality than the first one. No ugly tab sticking out, the trim ring around the ball is a darker color, just all around better appearance. I had the old one in the wired version, I've always been cautious about wireless peripherals, but I went ahead and tried this one in 2.4 Ghz wireless, with the provided dongle. I will say, at least in my case (24" iMac, Ventura), it has been absolutely flawless. No delay when waking from sleep, no skips, just perfect, one would not even think it is a wireless connection. I will also mention that the 4 buttons have a much better feel, and click, not so obnoxious and clunky as the original. Now for the best part. I never got used to the twist to scroll action on the old one, it seemed most of the time, it would be an annoying mix of scrolling, and moving the cursor around. I'm not sure what Kensington changed, or if there was something wrong with my old one, but this trackball is lightyears better than the old one in this regard. I use the twist to scroll all the time now, and it has become my favorite trackball, and I have a LOT of them, Kensington Expert, X-keys L-trac, and a host of Elecom, HUGE, Deft Pro, etc. I will mention that I do not use Kensington's software, but rather an excellent program for mice and trackballs called "Steermouse". It allows for much customization, and works very well with this trackball. I can say I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. Given some of the other reviews, I was hesitant. SO glad I tried this one out, despite having owned the older one. My confidence in Kensingon products has been 100% restored!
