Not Made out of Metal. Made out of Plastic. Not Secure. Easily Cut. Disapointing.

The delivered package had only the superglue while the package was open and main kensington slot missing. Felt cheated as I had already purchased the lock for which the exchange period has already expired.

It's a very good way to compensate for the lack of a built-in slot, like the one most laptops used to have. So far it's holding on. It could be a bit smaller, so it doesn't buldge when placed inside a sleeve. An OK trade-off for peace of mind.

Worked for what I needed it for. Be careful with the super glue supplied with it--it literally sticks on contact. Once it's on, it's on.

Works great. I added this to the printer my son took to college. (Why don't small printers have a K slot already?). Installation... I used masking tape to mark off the area where I scratched up the surface of the printer body for better glue bonding. With the K Slot Adapter glued down, it looks like it was always there. Holds very firm and flush to the printer "to keep an honest man honest."

we ordered three - one for each of our kayaks. We got three and only one tube of glue. The glue did not seem likely to hold the slot onto the kayaks so I riveted them on with pop rivets. My wife forgot about the locks and turned one of the kayaks over and she managed to rip the cable lock out of the slot. The plastic slot distorted enough to let the cable lock out, so I don't think this would prevent a theft if the thief know he could just get strong on it.

Klebt extrem gut und man kann sein Notebook damit prima gegen Diebstahl sichern. Hierzu würde ich auf jeden Fall noch ein Kensington Zahlenschloss empfehlen.

Because of previous reviews, I didn't buy from University Store, but I bought from Antonline for only a few pennies more. The product that arrived is what is pictured and the original Kensington adapter. I've just installed it on my wii and plan to on my other consoles as well (except for the xbox since it already has a security slot). So my poor wii was the guinea pig test, but it seems to be sticking just fine with the super glue it came with. I was a little worried about using liquid super glue instead of the gel kind because I was afraid it would drip all over the console, but it didn't. Just be careful not to make a mess.First you apply it by using the abrasive sponge to roughen the surface, then clean it with the alcohol swab. I waited for it to dry for a few seconds then applied the super glue and the adapter. Within a minute, its already stuck on there. I bought Kensington K64673US Combination Laptop Lock and it fits in it just right. I did test to make sure the lock would fit before I glued the adapter because I didn't want to end up gluing it then it be too late. Not sure how it will hold up in the long run, but it is definitely better than nothing and serves as a good deterrent for potential thieves.

I have all my TV's and disc players locked down with an anti theft cable. It also keeps the TV's from any risk of falling over. The smaller anchors, sold here, worked better for my new blu ray players, which are fairly slim. I use a thick cable, which is about 9 mm or just over 1/4 inch thick. There are thinner cables that work just as well. The anchors that came with my cable system had adhesive pads on them and they did not stay in place. All of them fell off within a few hours or days. The superglue method is preferred. Better yet, I'm pushing for more TV makers to add a security locking point, preferable with a hardened point in the back plate, where it can be locked down with the same devices I use on my laptops.

This item was very cheaply made. I called Kensington and they told me it was a knock off from the Kensington model and they were clearing out their stock. Unfortunately, our group was going to Afghanistan and we did not have time to return it. I requested a refund and Kensington issued a credit. That is the only good thing I can say about this experience.

Me ha resultado muy útil para instalarlo en la Playstation 3, que no dispone de este tipo de cerradura. Al menos evita las sustracción fácil del aparato.

The Kensington Slot Adapter Kit does NOT work with the Kensington ComboSaver Combination Portable Notebook Lock K64560US due to a design flaw. The K64560US is designed with a T-bar that inserts into the slot and then turns 90 degrees in a chamber behind the slot. It must be turned 90 degrees so that a pair of pins on each side of the T-bar can then be extended into the slot at the push of a button, keeping the T-bar from being de-rotated and removed. The pins are then locked into the extended position by turning the combination dials. However, the "Kensington Slot Adapter" sold by UNIVERSITY ACCESSORIES INC. has a bow-tie shaped chamber that allows the T-bar to be rotated only about 60 degrees, instead of the necessary 90 degrees. The pair of pins, which are 90 degrees to the T-bar, will not insert into the slot adapter, thus preventing the K64560US from locking, defeating the purpose of the adapter and the lock. Considering the design of the Kensington lock, it seems that the Kensington Slot Adapter is designed to NOT work with Kensington locks.

I don't know why I spent more for the one from UNIVERSITY ACCESSORIES INC, but that was a big mistake because now that it is glued to the back of my kindle fire I realize that it doesn't have the kensington logo on the front and (like the poster below) this knockoff doesn't work. So now I'm screwed!! The adapter from antonline might be the real deal; but the junk from the UNIVERSITY STORE INC is definitely not.PS.I just read on the instructions for my kensington lock that if your equipment doesn't have a security slot; they will send you one for free. All you have to do is call kensington tech. support
