These cable tethers are 12" stainless steel cable 1/16" in diameter with a clear nylon sheath. They have swage sleeves at either end, to form loops. You can either loop the loop around something or remove the end from the swage sleeve and pass it through a hole and then the swage sleeve. When you tighten the loop to the size you want, you crimp the swage sleeve and cut off the excess. One needs a small swaging tool or pliers to crimp the fitting and a wire cutter to cut to length. These tethers are very strong and must be cut to remove them once they are crimped. They are a great way to keep adapters from being misplaced or for keeping cables tethered together. They could be used to fashion semi-permanent key rings as well, and I'm sure one could find many other uses. These are extremely well made, very useful, and versatile and I highly recommend them.

Good quality cable teachers. The fact that these come preassembled makes life easy.Just adjust around the cables you want to secure and crimp the swage. These can seem expensive but time is money.

This is nice for keeping adapters handy when needed. They tend to wander off and I can't remember where I put them. This way it's always connected for when I needed but still handy if I don't.

I wanted to get some tether to keep adapters from getting lost. These wasn’t what I thought they were. These are designed to be semi-permanent and you need some pliers to tighten. To remove, you will need to cut it off. And there are only 2 extra crimping rings. I wish it came with some reusable crimping rings and more than 2 spare rings.

Still not sure what I'm going to end up using these for. I guess the next time I need zip ties, I may try using these instead. Or like the sales copy suggests, I may use them to tie something down I would like to stay put. These are superior to plastic zip ties in that you just can't cut them with a knife or regular scissors. The drawback is that you need pliers to fasten them. I was able to cut them using wire cutters with a little effort. What is offered here is just under 16 inches of plastic coated twisted wire with loops on each end held in place via 2 loose crimp rings. With the loops, they are about a foot long. It is easy to shrink, enlarge or completely undo the loops. You can reconfigure the wire any way you choose then crimp the rings with pliers or crimpers. It would be tricky to undo the crimp rings but I suppose you could with a small screwdriver and a little effort. Like zip ties, it would be simpler to cut them, throw them away and use a new one.===============================================================================UPDATE Jan 3, 2024I found an interesting use for these. Thinking out of the box, I let go of the end loops and just thought in terms of zip ties. I removed the metal crimps entirely and just used one to tie the wire in one big loop to fasten the light fixture to the handle of my power pack. See pictures. Much stronger than plastic zip ties and completely heat resistant.

These are small steel cables that can hold your cables or dongles securely in place. The ends come un-crimped so you can loop it around the cable, pull it tight, then crimp it in place. Note that these are NOT what I would call "preassembled" as crimping the end is absolutely required for it to stay in place; you can use pliers for this rather than needing a special tool. The primary use case is securing various dongles to cables in conference rooms, or securing the cables themselves to allow them to be unplugged but not get lost or fall down under the desk. These are for permanent installation; removing the cable will require destroying the cable tie with a wire cutter.
