This feels like a quality produce and performs well. Doesn’t clog, easy to use, easy to change the bags. It heavy and you have to aim the vacuum to not move debris as you vacuum.

We switched to bagged and we're glad we did. This sweeper is a workhorse. Sturdy and excellent quality. Long cord. Excellent suction with different levels of carpet or flooring options. Brush can be on or off. Product description is accurate. Its heavy but manageable. Wish there was a small grab handle in the front to reposition sweeper if needed. This sweeper is probably the best we've ever owned.

I ordered this Kenmore vacuum as a replacement for a Shark that fell apart in less than a year. I have owned and wore out more than 10 vacuums in less than 8 years. Dyson, Bissell, Shark, Sanitaire, Electrolux, Simplicity, Miele, Sirena, and Kaercher (Karcher) but not a Kenmore til now. So I have a good deal of hands-on experience using and repairing them. I have found that the price and reliability of a vacuum are in no way related for most brands. The only exception has been Karcher that still runs like new with minor repairs. This Kenmore vacuum impressed me from the start. It has the best vacuum performance of any vacuum whether hard surface or plush carpet or area rugs. The beater bar is not overly aggressive but does an excellent job of vibrating dirt loose so it can be caught it. There is an extendable wand with crevice and upholstery tools which works great but with limited reach. The hose could be longer is my only complaint. Overall it performs better than any other I have owned except for Karcher but almost as good. Considering the price, performance, and build quality I think it is the best value around. You could pay a lot more and get a lot less. Also, the Kenmore is heavier than most and could be an issue if you have stairs to deal with. So you will want to take that into consideration.

Seen someone rave on TikTok about this so since I been trying all sorts and haven’t yet to find a good vacuum I took the chance on this one, it is loud and sounds like a jet or something.. with the bag I can’t visualize how much it actually is sucking up, it is heavy and not good for stairs. I definitely don’t think it is as good as people have said I still prefer my cheap $180 vacuum over this one

This is the best designed vacuum I've owned. Set up was straightforward. It's flexible in getting at different spots. It seems to be well-made as everything fits nicely. It's less noisy than other vacuums I've had. It works well on light weight carpets as you can disengage the roller while still having the vacuum suck up dirt. The HEPA filter is nice as it prevents dust that was sucked up from flying around. Recommended for anyone who is sensitive to dust. It's very good but not perfect. It's a bit on the heavy side, but that's likely a result of having a strong motor. Also, when you engage the roller it helps the vacuum to move on rugs. I'd like it if the wand (extension) were a bit longer.Replacing bags requires a bit of effort, but that's probably because it requires a tight fit in order for the air filter to work properly. On balance, it's a good product which I would buy again.

I replaced this vacuum with the same exact model that i bought about 6 years ago! It got beat up and i somehow broke the the pedal that keeps it upright, so i decided to look for a new Vacuum! I went to 5 different places that sell Vacuums and could not find a single one that uses bags, I hate the bagless ones as they are messy and do not like the look of the dirt in it and having to always wash filters , So after much research and shopping arround, I discovered that many of the Vacuums on the market are just cheaply made and a bad design! Maybe because i was used to this high quality product that i did not like anything else. So, I ordered the same one again as this Vacuum sounds and looks great, not too loud and very smooth sounding, you can tell it has a solid motor, also I never had to replace anything on my olde one, no belt and the bags last a very long time between changes! It is not good on stairs but I don't have stairs to worry about anyways so it is not a concern for me!Do yourself a favor and buy this Vacuum you will not be disappointed ! It makes your carpet look like new every time you vacuum!

I love this product so far, I just started using it. I replaced an annoying, bagless canister that was stinky and always falling over whenever I tried to use the hose. I understand some find this vacuum too heavy, but I personally like that factor. I was tired of my vacuum constantly falling over when I tried to do stairs or use the tools. This has gotten my carpets cleaner than I have ever seen. It is very easy to switch between hard floors and carpet. The suction is amazing. The exhaust can be quite strong and hot so I can see why some say it blows around dirt sometimes. I will never buy a bagless machine again. My only complaint so far is the stupid hose design on this machine. It is WAY TOO SHORT to make any sense. When you try to use it without the extension wand your hand is constantly causing the brush or other attachment to fall off. The hose with the extensions is just too short. It is rigid and unmanageable. Other than that, time will tell I guess but I am still satisifed I bought it. I have one short haired dog and about 1800 sq. ft. to vacuum with a mix of hard laminate, tile and carpet.

We had previously owned a "Pet Vacuum" and it just didn't go a good job. So when it was time to replace our old one I did my due diligence and searched the internet for the best one I could afford. I read both good and bad reviews to get a feel for what people are saying about a product. A Dyson was out of the question due to price, so I was after the best value. Some of the negative comments regarded the fact that the Kenmore Elite was not self-propelled, it was somewhat heavy, the height adjustment wasn't automatic and the hose was too short. BUT, it worked very well. After looking over other brands and options, I bought the Kenmore Elite Upright 31150.I was not disappointed! Yes, you have to manually adjust the height. No big deal. I need to do that once when I vacuum as we have shorter nap rugs in one area of our home. I then start in that area the next time. It is not self-propelled, but that's okay because if you have the height adjusted correctly, it will gently pull itself forward. Most of us need more physical activity anyway! I know I do. The hose is short-ish, but works for most of what I need to do with it and there is a wand for extra reach. The wand extends nicely. There are a couple of handy attachments as well, especially the mini-brush that spins using the force of the suction. We have three cats, one of which is a long hair who leaves piles of fine hair everywhere and the Elite has no trouble getting those out of our short nap carpet.Suction power is outstanding and when using attachments actually needs to be managed with the airflow gate on the hose. Maneuverability is fine, but because it isn't propelled by anything other than the spinning brush, it does take a little more effort than a self-propelled model. It is not "light weight", but I don't care about that. Like I mentioned, I like the physical aspect of using the machine.Regarding comments that said the brushes wear out; What are these folks doing to make that happen??? Even when I have the height set lower than it should be (which you should realize immediately as the vacuum wants to pull fairly hard) I still cannot imagine wearing the brush out that fast. We've had this vacuum for some time and I've very happy with it.A blue light on the nose of the machine lights up when you activate the brush then goes out after about 5 seconds. It will come on again when you go over an area with extra debris. My wife thinks it's a gimmick, but I like it because it will make me go over that area slowly until the light extinguishes, ensuring it's clean. This is typically where the felines favorite resting spots are, or near the entries to the house or around the fireplace. The LED "headlights" work great as well and really light up dark areas under furniture or in corners. The vacuum does have a bag which I much prefer over the canister type vacuums as all dust, hair and dander is contained. There are also exhaust air filters. All of these work beautifully.I don't have any Cons on this one; I love it and would by it again.
