The stand is attractive and functions as I had hoped. My only complaint is that it smells moldy. I suspect it was stored in a damp place. The valet stand and the box do not show signs of mold, so I suspect there was some mold growth on surfaces or items adjacent to it during storage. Over time I expect that will disappear.

Once assembled, the rack looks just like the picture. But…it took more than a month to get rid of the musty smell. The box and packing was so musty, I had to put it outside. The rack stunk up half of the house! I put it in direct Sun for three days, wiped it down with vinegar, then wiped it down five times with bleach solution. It still stunk up the room…and the clothes. I ordered another one hoping it would be better. The second one is still musty after three weeks, but not as bad. The moral of the story: if the box is musty, return it right away without assembling. You’ll save yourself some headache.

The hanger that it came with literally fell apart. The stand itself is great and just what I needed but it’s fragile and poor quality. Not real wood, it’s particle board.

This feels and looks nicer than the price point suggests. It took 20-30 minutes to put together. I held off on reviewing right away so I could see how it held up and it's doing well with no visible marks after about a month of daily use. My only complaint resolved itself: this smelled bad for the first week or so before the smell dissipated, but at least after that week it's fine and there's no noticeable smell.
