These kayak carriers are great for the car. Comfortably fits both yaks, strap them down and lets go paddling. Easy enough to take off when my using and keep in the back if the hatch for convenience and next time.

I purchased this kayak rack to transport my kayak safely and to prevent inadvertent damage to my water toy! It is very durable and solid! It looks very sleek and easy to install and remove. The functionality is great also. It can also carry other large items kayak-shaped, but I mainly use it for my kayak. The instructions were a bit ambiguous , but I was able to interpret them pretty good. Overall a great product and great bang for the buck!

I originally gave this a one star review and said it was unusable with the nuts and bolts that came with it, but this isn't accurate, the issue was poor instructions and user error. I came back and changed by review because it does work, but it's not great. There are no instructions, just a one picture diagram that caused my initial issue with the product. The J-tube supports are much smaller/shorter than I have seen on anything else before. I had purchased better separate straps and am going to have to go buy longer ones. The bolts are longer than they need to be, too long for a standard ratchet socket, so I had to tighten them 90% with the ratchet then finish with a crescent wrench. That said I just had it out for a 60 mile round trip where I was driving 55 MPH most of the time and everything worked and was secure, and it is cheaper than most of what I am seeing out there, so if you are looking for a budget option that works and are willing to put up with the issues this is the product for you.

This kayak mount is garbage. We accidentally bought 1 and needed 2 and the first one was no longer available so we had to get this one. In comparison to the first one this one is a joke. First of all, the undermount brace is much more narrow than the top brace so it’s not as secure as the first one we bought. Also, the bolts are so long it’s almost impossible to get your fingers underneath to spin the bolts on to secure it. Finally, the straps that came with are not long enough to make it around the kayak so we had to buy 2 new ones. The only reason we are not returning it is because it took hours to install and we were set on going kayaking that day and did not want to wait to disassemble it and return it. Do not buy this piece of crap. Look for one where the top and bottom braces are the same size and make sure the straps are more than 8 feet long.

The mounts themselves are pretty sturdy, not very easily put together, but once they are together, they work well. Please note the length of the straps provided are very short. The latches on the straps also slipped and we’re not usable for us at all. we use the mounts, but purchased sturdier stronger straps.

These are 2 sets of kayak racks. The price was pretty decent, the quality was good, they arrived on time. Much much easier than trying to meet up with people on marketplace because they were delivered to my door. My only small complaint would be the lack of assembly instructions. It's just an image. Yes the assembly is fairly simple but I had a few bolts that I had to remove and re-install due to lack of instructions. Not a huge issue but could have saved me a few minutes. Other than that I'm happy with the price and product
