First off, this trap works. Plain and simple.Add a little peanut butter, set the spring loaded mechanism and this baby catches mice.We bought the 2-pack because our small store has a sudden mice problem. We have been opened 7+ years and no rodents, but a world (in)famous discount grocery store opened next door about a year ago and now... mice! ugh.The trap is easy to set and seems relatively safe. The opening for the mice to enter is small, but I fear small children or cats could get their hand/paws in this and get quite hurt. So if you have small kids or cats, you will need to keep these well hidden.I knocked off 1 star because these traps don't always kill the mouse. We have had two traps for 3 days and have caught 5 mice so far. Of the 5 mice captured, 3 were still alive in the morning when we arrived at our store. Their backs were quite crushed, so I am surprised they survived. I picked up the trap and released them into our dumpster. They each scampered away the best they could. My wife is not the squeamish type, but she does not want some mouse looking at her when she disposes of it.Would I recommend these? Definitely, they work quite well and are easy to bait and set.

I world post pics but I don't think you'd want to dead rats! These things are huge! These traps work and are worth every penny! I'm thinking of buy two more sets! On the first night I caught two big rodants! Pick up the whole trap and release into the bin! Easy peasy! Only thing I'm worried about is getting a squirrel. Hopefully this doesn't happen. But I'm definitely happy with the purchase

These traps work extremely well to catch even the smallest of critters. The removable foot pot and trap are easy to clean because there is NO sticky pad. Once triggered you hear a snap but not very noticeable. We put down the 2 that came in the pack and caught two that same night. We used crunchy peanut butter for bait. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE TRAPS!

The plastic is a bit thin (everywhere) so it’s probably not going to last long BUT while it’s working, it’s very good (my case was mice not rats, YMMV) at killing the issue but there’s a learning curve-Step 1- rodents are sketched out by human smell, so if you touch the trap bare handed, you just lost the game before it started. Glove up before you open the box, and reglove before adding bait. *adds nitrile gloves to cart*Step 2- Whatever you found them eating, add a little bit to the cup and add sunflower seed butter. This is mouse crack, and you will get results. Peanut butter is okay, but SSB is 💯, but you can use the butter as a standalone too. The other food makes them comfortable and think everything is fine (it’s NOT)*adds more stuff to cart*Step 3- put it against the wall wherever you think they’re coming from or going to- mice and rats hate being out in the open and travel against walls. About 1/3rd of the ones I catch were just hauling @ss across and got caught.Troubleshooting: the plastic trap square moves a bit before it’s triggered, sometimes this can spook the mice and you come up empty so to really make it effective, use a chopstick and OH SO GENTLY move it down to the point where it will snap if you look at it, like a Tom and Jerry skit.Also- if you’re just tossing hand grenades, also get sticky trap tunnels (TUNNELS only) and the old fashioned wooden tiny traps that try to break your fingers. Great results.Good luck and happy hunting!Wash your silverware, they get everywhere. If you give up, just add an Amazon house to cart right?

This first part is context and color commentary on why I purchased this product. Skip down to the bottom for bulleted review on the product itself.I live in a rural part of the city and it is common to have pests like mice. Having mice is just part of living where I do, and regular management with traps and sealing animal feed in metal containers keep the mouse problems at bay. Recently, I had caught out of the corner of my eye something larger than our usual mice. I heard the dog food pan in the kitchen rattling around and my dogs were in the living room with me. By the time I got to the kitchen, there was no trace of anything. My son said one night he heard the dog dish rattle and he saw a large rat run behind the refrigerator and disappear. Having mice is one thing, a rat is a different story. I bought these traps hoping I could catch this thing. I put some peanut butter in the bait reservoir along with a nugget of dog food. We picked up the dog food dish and put two traps in its place. Within 20 minutes of setting the traps I heard a loud "CLACK!". I was like no way! Sure enough I could see the rear end and tail of a sizable rat. It died within a few seconds and I took the trap outside, opened it up and it fell out on the ground in an open area away from my house. A nice free meal for likely an owl or coyote, as the next morning it was gone. The cycle of life.I would recommend. Even if I don't catch anything else in these traps, the $20 was worth ridding my house of this elusive rodent! Now for the particulars regarding this product:Product Quality - Heavy duty plastic with a strong steel spring. Well made.Design - Great design. The flat backside of the trap fits flush against a wall. Mice and other rodents usually run along baseboards and stay close to walls to avoid detection. The design of the trap makes it easily accessible to rodents, just like running behind furniture along a wall, falsely appearing as a safe haven, or good venue for concealment. They will either run through it and trigger the trap or search out a meal inside to their demise.Usability - Easy to bait with the removable bait reservoir on the bottom. Easy to arm. Just place in the desired location after baiting and firmly push down the arming lever. No worries about it going off and catching a finger. Very safe to operate. Emptying is very simple and the rodent is inside, so you do need to touch it. Just depress the arming lever, tilt to the side and the rodent falls right out.Effectiveness - Worked well for me. Caught an elusive rat within 20 minutes of first setting it.

Excelentes
