LOW WATER ABSORPTION
Kovert Essential 100% Fluorocarbon line with low water absorption will fish the same either wet or dry.
FAST SINKING
Kovert Essential Fluorocarbon is 78% heavier than water which makes it sink fast versus traditional monofilament lines.
LOW VISIBILITY
Kovert Essential 100% Fluorocarbon line has a low light refractive index making it virtually invisible under water.

Just another quality product from KastKing. When you’re fishing inshore and the fish have the sharp teeth and fins and dragging you through oyster beds, you need great quality line that has the stretch and line memory for hard use. Very light on abrasion and holds a good knot to their super power silky 8 strand 30# braid I use.

I used fluorocarbon lines a lot as leaders and always the main problem is knot strength and variation of it. Sometimes the fluoroline keeps it good and start stretching and sometimes it breaks easily near knot.As I saw new fluoro from Kastking, I ordered it and decided to test against famous japanese brands. You can see tested lines on the picture. 12 lb seaguar is more thicker than 12 lb Kastking, so it is more fair to test Kastking with same thickness lines. 10lb sunline and Seaguar has 0.26mm and 12lb Kastking has 0.28mm.I did different knots between 2 lines and pull tightened lines in different sides. Which line breaks first that line lost this round.The results areSunline vs Kastking = 80% vs 20%Seaguar vs Kastking = 50% vs 50%Sunline vs Seaguar = 75% vs 25%12 lb Seaguar vs Kastking = 100% vs 0% (did only 2 tests, Seaguar is 0.31mm, much thicker than Kastking).All fluorocarbon lines are from 100% Fluorocarbon, so if you will order this line is better to consider real thickness of the line instead of pounds value label. Manufacturing know-how process and quality control could add some strength to the line, but not too much.

I have used 2x more expensive name brand line in the past. I have used this stuff multiple times and had great success. It may be a bit larger but seems to be just as strong for the breaking point. Easier on thr budget when you have to cut a snag and loose 100 ft.

New to trout fishing and didn't realize that they're ridiculously smart and had "stranger danger" vibes with my neon green braided line. So with this line I was able to cast farther and liked the fact the flourocarbon sinked fairly quickly. There was a little bit of learning with proper knot tying to not stretch the line. High quality stuff and I caught trout; mission accomplished.

I bought this item 6 lb test. I use it for leader line but after trying to tie a uni knot 3 times the line kept breaking. I pulled a few feet of the reel and pulled it and it broke very easily. I use the kast king 10 lb test and it's great. But this 6 lb line is junk.

First I have to mention that I’m a big fan of the KastKing Kovert leader materials and I’ve been buying the red and blue versions for a while. I like that I can get a small amount of every size leader and that allows me to find what fits the fishing situation best, and I’m not breaking the bank by buying 150-200 yard spools. The value for money on this new green-packaging Kovert leader is amazing. The product itself is exactly what you’d expect, solid quality FC leader. I’ve got this in 8lb test tied with an FG knot to some 10 pound braid. Super sensitive, knot strength is great, and the memory is very low which is good!

I really like the smoothness and their line quality of Kastkings fluorocarbon line in general. I essentially use this for my leader line and can’t wait to have more tests with it. My preferred fishing style is surf fishing and I feel with this line it’s going to be a good day fishing. I have used KastKing products for a least 4 to 5 years and I haven’t had any issue with their products and I even had some nice conversations with pros that work with KastKing.
