最初、熱い、重たい、コントロール効かない、使いにくい！とおもいました。熱いは、取っ手に麻紐を巻いて対応。ネットで調べて、オシャレに、まきました（笑）使い方については、YouTubeで見て勉強しました。使い始めて半年が過ぎると、最高に使いやすいアイテムに変貌しました。買っただけでは上手く使えない、まるで楽器のような可愛いヤツです。

本体のカラーは写真で見るより綺麗で気に入ってるが、はっきり言って2024年のこの時代にわざわざこれを買う意味は無い。本当に想像以上にドリップが難しい。斜め45°にすると点滴や細い注湯がしやすいみたいにYouTubeでコーヒーのプロが解説してはいるが、言うてほとんど変わらんし、そもそも持ち手が熱すぎてキープできない。毎度火傷のリスク負いながらドリップしてる感じw 持ち手の形状も悪い。とにかく斜めに持っても湯量が全く安定せず、あっちこっちに湯がバラけるので、点滴もしづらいし回しがけなんてほぼ不可能。安物のポットやケトルでもドリップしやすい良品が増えている現代に、わざわざこんなものを買う必要はまったく無い。点滴にしろ、細い注湯にしろ、同じくらいの価格帯でより良いものがたくさん存在します。いくら点滴から太い注湯までやれる事の幅が広いとはいっても、これではさすがに無理がある。ここまで太い注湯を必要とする機会もほとんど無いし、よほどのオタクでもない限りは買わないほうが良いと思う。オタク気質な自分でもさすがにペリカンは合わなかった。

I love and cherish my authentic Kalita pelican kettle! It is not only practical (I've used it with gas and old style electric cooktops), it is truly beautiful. This was a great price, and fast shipping. A little piece of Japan that brightens my kitchen every day!

It's perfectly light, and has a great appearance. It heats very well, my only complaint would be the lid having to be pressed down when pouring but it'll be a bit on the hot side. I don't mind touching hot objects, but for most I'd assume this is not the case.Personally, I love it.

I was most pleasantly surprised at the substantial heft of this beautiful little kettle! I really did not expect it to be built this well. I am very happy with the beautiful finish and overall quality of workmanship here! The accuracy of the pour from the spout is perfect. Thank you, Kalita! I understand that the handle gets hot when heating water (as is expected) and the lid has to be secured by hand, while pouring. This is NO problem, whatsoever for me. Leather gloves: problem solved. This Pelican Kettle will last for the rest of my life, and will be a wonderful keepsake for the next generation. If you are looking for a well-made--and beautifully-whimsical little kettle, look no further! Cheers!

The Pelican spout was designed by coffee master Ichiro Sekiguchi of Caffe de L'Ambre in Ginza, Tokyo. This design allows for very precise water pouring down to a very light trickle that is very difficult with any other kettle. Enameled steel means that it is highly durable and can go from direct flame of the campfire to gas burners to induction cooktops with no problem.The one downside is that because it is all steel, if you're using it constantly, the handle will get hot to the touch. I use a bar towel to protect my hand when this happens. Ergonomically, I'll grab it by the lower part of the handle for better balance, but it is a workhorse. I've got three of them!

This is my favourite coffee pot. Its special design let you control water flow perfectly, which is crucial for making pour-over coffee. Plus, its beautiful colour and shape make your kitchen look nice.Pros: great water flow control, beautiful appearanceCons: 1.a little bit heavy when it is full; 2. the lid is not secure, you need to be very careful when you're pouring water. I usually left the lid on the table when I am holding the pot.

I really love this kettle. I got it to go with my red kitchen theme. It comes from Japan so one has has to be patient with the delivery time. It is perfect for a cup or two and tea/water does remain hot even when off heat. It is easy to clean. Just to note that while pouring, the kettle cover can come off so one has to hold it with a dish cloth.
