With skates it’s important to measure your feet in cm and buy them based on that . Uk size 11 is what I needed and all the different manufacturers will have a different size interpretation of a uk 11 . I am usually an eu 46 but with ice skates there is no point going on this . With these I looked at the cm sizing and they are 30 cm . My feet measure about 28cm so these were perfect . As for the fit , they are amazingly comfortable and feel like a pair of trainers on your feet . Super soft . The fitting system is also clever with a combination of ratchet clamp , Velcro and quick pull lacing . Basically once on you pull the laces up with a toggle between your fingers until tight then it has a locking mechanism that stops it loosening off . Really clever . On the ice they feel very stable with plenty of grip . I’m not a pro skater by any means but for regular trips to the rink these are great .

These are SOO comfortable! So quick to put on and take off. My son is autistic so fiddling with rental laces and suffering through poor fit of my skates while trying to keep him chill is really hard. No more! 5 seconds to put on my skates and we are able to focus on getting him set up.After suffering through rental skates it was so amazing to just be comfortable and have good ankle support. Made it possible to help my son leaning over and helping him stay vertical as he learns.Such a good value for the money invested. Never wearing rental skates again.I wear 12.5 and have a wide foot. These fit flawlessly according to their posted size.

I've used K2 inlines for years because I like the fit and the boa closure. [These skates don't have the boa closure.] I had a pair of these ice skates for years, but since I rarely ice skate, my wife tossed them in one of her garage cleaning fits because she loves to piss me off. After taking my granddaughter to an ice rink and renting skates a couple of times, I decided to buy another pair and start ice skating more regularly. I must drive 30 miles to a rink, but I'm retiring and need more things to do especially in the winter when I don't skate outdoors so much. If you want hockey skates, I can recommend K2. I've never owned other ice skates, so I don't really know the difference.

Rentals are horrible to learn with and lead to frustration. You need your own skates that fit and just as important is to be able to sharpen the blades to a grind that is suitable to your body weight, skating needs (hockey or figure, hard or softer ice). These skates are super comfortable, easy to get on and off and provide enough support for a beginning skaters with casual needs. I used them to get through my Learn to Skate course at my local rink, since the rentals included on Day 1 were so soft they had no support I constantly fell and blades were dull and uneven, I could barely do anything I fell and hated Day 1 almost quitting the sport. On Day 2 I showed up with these (after my pro shop sharpened them properly to 1/2” radius) and had a much better experience and stuck with the course , picking up a new hobby. With any skates and gear, you need to care for them. K2 still seems to make good gear, I used to be a downhill skier when I lived in New England. Sadly, as your skills progress and you need more support or different blade types, you ‘graduate’ up to buying more upgraded gear for your needs (such as hockey skates or figure skates). Luckily I plan one using these skates as a way to get my son into skating, since he has same fit.

After renting skates for a while I finally decided to get my own pair. These are so much easier to use than the other skates that I have tried. The tightening strap gets them really tight with little effort. They are also so comfy and warm on the feet!

I just ordered this pair to replace a different brand that I purchased where the size I chose was too big since i sized up. In terms for sizing my shoe size is typically 12.5(perfect) to 13 in Nike US running shoes. I measured my foot to be 11.5 toe to heal. So I went with a half size shorter than my 12.5 shoe size and chose a 12. So going .5 to one size smaller from the published shoe size is probably best. I would have gone one full size smaller, but I wanted the flexibility of thicker socks, and possibly using an orthotic. So far they feel great and I will update this post as I'm finding how important it is to have skates sized right.

I bought these to go ice skating last year and I've used them about 15 times. They are very easy to put on. They were affordable, and comfortable. I love the strap so that I don't need to tie laces. I highly recommend these over renting stinky / sweaty rentals

I really like these for my son. They are comfortable, but I worry they wouldnt hold up with hockey. Like the plastic doesnt look like it could hold together taking a puck slapshotted at them. I wish they made these but for hockey. Why are actual hockey skates so painful?? The padding on these is great if you’re just skating and not playing competitively.

TL;DRThey're great! They fit and skate very well. Worth the purchase.I learned to skate inline first, so ice skating isn't difficult to me, if not a bit awkward at first; finding ice skates that worked for me however, was rather daunting. Especially with a flat size 13 foot.I picked these up as the reviews were very positive. I must say, they were spot on. Super comfortable and warm liner! Within minutes, I was skating as though I was on concrete again. One criticm is that lacing system is a little wonky. It's a speed lace system so creating some extra room was odd at first, but it is secure, so I can't be too mad. If you have a fatter foot too, perhaps the BOA system skates might be a better option. 🤔At the end of the day, for $100, you really can't go wrong with this pair. I'm gonna be able to get a lot of practice in this winter season!
